Amethyst's POV

"Hey babe, did you get into the university you're looking for?" I asked him as he kept on looking at his paper.

"I...I got in. I really got in!" He shouted happily as he hugged me.

"That's great! Which uni did you pick?" I asked him as I sat between his legs.

"I didn't want to be far away from you or this house so I picked the closest one here. It's only a thirty minute drive. It's the university of Oxford." He said.

"That's great! I'm so happy for you." I pecked his lips.

"Thank you." He said. "Have you got your reply yet or not?"

"No, not yet. But I decided to go to your college. Just to see what kind of teachers you had to face." I said as he chuckled.

"Be careful with the old woman who looks like she's in her 80's but is actually around 50 something. She's one hell of a strict teacher. Make a tap on your table and you're out of that class." I widened my eyes as I shivered.

"I'm scared." I said as he chuckled.

"Don't be. If you get on her good side, it's really hard for you to get you on her bad side." He said.

"At least that's reassuring." I mumbled as he chuckled again.

I was waiting for Ryder at his college since we broke up early again for the Easter holidays. My exams are coming up and I'm nervous like hell. The results I get are depending on my future career.

As I saw him, I waved him over to me. He saw me and went to walked over to me but he got pushed to the wall and a girl placed her lips on his. He instantly pushed her off as he started shouting at the girl.

I ran over to them and calmed him down.

"Babe, calm down. Forget about her, what matters more is that you pushed her off of you and that made me happy. I love you, okay." I said calmly as he visibly calmed down.

He pulled me into a hug and nuzzled his nose into the crook of my neck. I hugged him back and buried my head in his shoulder.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you too." I said.

"Oi! Ryder, why are you dating a murderer? She killed my father." The girl said as we broke apart.

"And who might you be?" I asked.

"She's my niece. Sorry about her. We need to get going." I heard that doctor who looked like that murderer said.

"No! We're not going! She killed my father! Your brother! Older brother! Shouldn't she be in jail?!" She shouted.

"That's enough, Lilac! He was a bad man!" He shouted as it got everyone's attention.

"How was he?! He was the most loving and caring person in the whole world! Why does she get to have her father with her but I don't?!" She shouted.

"Lilac! What are you talking about?!" We heard a woman shout as tears pricked my eyes and Ryder held me in his arms.

"Mother, she killed father. She's the one who broke our family apart." She said as tears rolled down my face.

"Is this true? If it is, I'm reporting you to the police." She asked me.

I looked at her with hurt. Then I looked at that doctor to see him mouthing an apology. Then I looked at the girl who was staring at me with fury.

"Babe, don't cry. Remember, they're in your heart. You have me and my friends, Luca, Felix, my parents and your brother. You have their memories in your head. You have their love in your heart. They'll always be with you even if they're not here. Because family always sticks together even in their hearts." Ryder said as he wiped my tears away.

"Miss Ring. I'm sorry for my niece's behaviour. She doesn't know what he has done. I'm still sorry for your losses. Even though it was not my fault, I should apologize on my brother's half." He said as I shook my head.

"Are you going to answer me or not?" She asked me.

"Helena, she's been through a lot. Harvey wasn't the person who you think he was." He said to the woman.

"How has she been through a lot? We're the one who lost a family member!" She shouted the last part at him.

"You see, that's where you are wrong." She turned her head towards me.

"Yes, I did kill your husband, but he killed my mother, father, cousin, auntie and uncle. I've lost five family members and the only family I have left right now is my younger brother who's four years old. I was 14 when he killed them. To tip it all of, their deaths were a minute before my birthday. A 14 year old girl who was already worrying about GCSE's and a three year old brother. You've lost one family member. One does not compare to five. I would appreciate it if your daughter would stop saying I killed him. Because it was solely out of self defense." I said as I buried my head in Ryder's chest.

"You're lying. You have to be lying!" She shouted at me.

"Let's go to the cemetery then." I said as I grabbed her wrist and dragged her to the cemetery.
