A few hours later, she had succeeded in crying herself to sleep only to be woken up by the buzzing of her phone. Who could it be now she thought to herself. Reaching for her phone she saw it was the number of the person she hated the most at the moment.
Not wanting anything to do with him, she decided to go back to sleep and ignored his call. Making a mental note to download the call blocking app she had heard about. A few minutes later she heard her message tune and after a long consideration, decided to check what it was.
To say she was shocked was an understatement. She felt different emotions running through her at the moment, hurt, disappointment, anger all at once. How delusional he must be sending her a message like this.
" Hi baby, I'm sorry that I hurt you. But I just want you to know just because I'm with her doesn't mean I will leave you. I love you and only you. We just have to lay low until I can get what I want from her."
' The same way you got what you wanted from me. ' She thought. He must be delusional to think that she will ever agree to be his or anyone's side piece.
She decided not to reply to him at all, but he still kept calling and ding... Another message came in.
" C'mon bae, I will make it up to you by getting your favorite dairy milk chocolate. Please talk to me, I really miss you."
" What does this loser think? That I'm some cheap woman who can be bought back with chocolates?" Nnadia yelled. She really couldn't stand his rubbish anymore and so she replied.
"Are you crazy or what? Please don't you ever try to contact me. I'm done with you." She texted back.
Immediately another message came in.
" Haha... Are you serious, like hell we both know you can't live without me? I took your virginity for crying out loud!" He replied confidently.
Nnadia felt herself pale immediately. She recalled how long he had been begging her and making foolish promises to her.
" Please my love, allow me to touch you. That's the only way I will feel complete. Moreover, I'm going to marry you anyway so there's no need to prolong it." Nnadia still refused.
" I'm suffering a lot whenever we are this close and I can't touch you. Is that really what you want? You said that you loved me but I'm not really sure about it now." He had said feigning hurt.
This had gone on for some time and he gave her no peace until she allowed him.
" And now, now he is using it to brag?" Nnadia said furiously under her breath. She wanted to scream or break something hard.
And then another message came in.
" If you don't pick up this last time then you will be the one begging for my attention."
Regretting the fact that she even dignified his previous statement with a response, made Nnadia to be very angry. Instantly checking into the play store for the call and text blocking app. She never thought he could think so lowly of her enough to ask her to be a side piece.
Cursing the day she met him and cursing herself for not listening to her best friend about him. She angrily left her room to go get fresh air.
All this wouldn't have happened has she not thought her friend was jealous of her relationship instead of listening to her.
That day she promised herself never to fall in love again. Never to allow a playboy in her life. In fact, with this experience, she will be able to spot them from afar.
