" This is cold." The doctor informed Nnadia before applying the gel on her stomach. Abdullah intertwined their hands and gazed into her eyes in anticipation. This was the first time he was going to see their unborn kids. Nnadia made a head gesture for him to look towards the screen of the monitor. She could see the excitement in his eyes.

" Here is baby A, a girl." The doctor said, pointing at the image. Abdullah's heartbeat increased.

" And right here is your son." The doctor pointed again. Abdullah could see the tiny beings clearly. The joy he was feeling is beyond this world.

" Both of them are in a perfect position. I can say everything looks okay to me." The doctor finished, and a lone tear of joy fell from Abdullah's eye. ' This is really happening, I'm going to become a father.' He smiled at Nnadia who was also sharing the same feelings as him.

" Thank you, Allah," Abdullah said, raising his head to the heavens.

" Thank you, Doctor," Abdullah spoke excitedly.

" You're welcome. You guys are such a cute couple. I'm sure your kids would look gorgeous. Will you like a copy of the sonogram to take home?" The asked, wiping the gel off Nnadia's tummy.

" Sure. Our parents will be thrilled to see them... Right wifey." Abdullah said with excitement.

" Yes," Nnadia replied. Beaming as she imagines how their parents will react to seeing their grandkids. Her husband helped her to get up slowly and straightened her dress properly.

" Thank you." She told him.

" No, thank you for making me a complete person. You're heaven-sent." He replied with a smile.

" Here it is." The doctor said, handing Abdullah a disc.

" Thanks again. By the way doctor, can I have a word with you?" Abdullah asked.

" Sure." The doctor replied. Abdullah walked out with the doctor, whispering something to him. Nnadia strained her ears but she couldn't hear anything. She saw both of them chuckling. When Abdullah returned to her, he had a mischievous smirk on his face.

" What did you talk to the doctor about?" She enquired.

" Nothing you should worry yourself about," Abdullah said grabbing her purse in one hand and taking her hand in the other.

" Let's go." He said.

Nnadia wanted to argue but decided against it. This was a beautiful day and she wasn't going to spoil it. It has been a while since both of them enjoyed each other's company like this.

On their way from the hospital, Nnadia saw an ice cream vendor.

" Abdullah, please stop the car." She spoke.

" Okay, but why?" Abdullah asked, parking the car on the side of the road.

" Ice Cream, there." Nnadia said pointing towards the vendor.

" Really? I thought you hated it." He said, furrowing his brows.

" Well, not anymore." She replied impatiently.

Abdullah got out of the car to get it for her. Nnadia was enjoying the cold breeze that blew from the window. She put the car's radio on and started listening to westlife. She closed her eyes letting the lyrics sink in when she felt Abdullah sit beside her. He could tell she liked the song so he sang along.

Well for me it is waking up beside you...

To watch the sunrise on your face

To know that I can say I love you
