Nnadia was restless the entire night as she watched her husband sleep on the floor. She couldn't bring herself to sleep peacefully knowing how uncomfortable he was. Her heart wouldn't let her. She quietly rolled out of bed and called him quietly.

" Abdullah." He got up, looking cute with his sleepy face.

" Wifey, do you need anything" He asked, rubbing his neck? She could tell that he strained it. Nnadia was tongue-tied. How can she just ask him to come back to bed?

" Are you feeling hungry? Or are you in pain?" He asked again, with anxiousness this time.

" Yes." The word came out of her mouth before she could think.

" Where does it hurt?" He asked, getting up to inspect her closely.

'My heart.' She wanted to say.

" I'm not in pain. I just want some juice." She lied.

" Okay. Right away." He replied with a sigh and sauntered out of the room.

He was back before she even realized it. He had a mug of juice and a glass in his hands.

" Here. Is this all you want?" He enquired lovingly.

" Yes." She replied appreciatively.

He was about to go back to his place when she spoke.

" Come back to bed." His heart leaped at her words, and he smiled.

" I'm sure that I'll need something and I don't want to walk all the way there just to wake you." She added not wanting him to think that she has forgiven him. Abdullah's heart immediately sank after hearing it.

Nnadia was the first to wake up and her gaze instantly landed on her husband. Her fingers itched to touch his beautifully sculpted face but she held back. Her heart was beating wildly. Even though her husband has hurt her very badly, she realized that she still loved him a lot. Perhaps she might even love him more than she did earlier. What was wrong with her? Why is she not angry with him? Why does she feel pain whenever he is hurt? Is she going crazy or something?

' Yes. Crazy for him.' she thought.

' Why. Why am I so in love with you?' Nnadia thought as she stared at her husband's sleeping face. His sinfully inviting lips caught her attention and she sucked in a breath just thinking about how they used to feel on hers.

Just like a magnet, she felt herself move closer and closer till their faces were touching. ' Don't do it.' Her mind screamed at her.

" Why not, he's still mine. My husband." She said quietly, as she touched her lips to his softly. Abdullah moaned in his sleep and Nnadia stopped immediately. She hurried out of the room before he woke up and found out what she had done.

Nnadia was feeling giddy all through the day, she barely paid attention to anything around her. She was waiting, but for what? Yes. Her husband. She wanted to see him. Ever since she had kissed him that morning, her mind has been on forgiveness a lot. Maybe they should talk. She thought. Even Hajara had advised the same. Just then, an idea struck. It wouldn't be long now before he comes back home and Nnadia wanted to look good for him. She hurried upstairs to change quickly.

Abdullah walked into the house very exhausted. He had one of the longest meetings in his business history. But still, that did not stop him from buying his wife's favorite chocolates and flowers. When she had called him back to bed last night, he knew then that there was still hope for them. He smiled just thinking about how she tried to cover up her love for him.
