Normal P.O.V

Lucy felt herself slightly swaying, scaring her half to death.

She quickly opened her eyes, seeing the face of Laxus.

"What?" She whispered, gaining his attention. He looked down and smirked.

"Perfect timing." She looked over to see her apartment, a blush coming to her face when she realized what happened.

"T-thank you," she squealed, jumping out of his arms.

"No problem, blondie. Oh, I put your reward in your bag." He grumbled while handing the bag over.

"Oh, sweet. Thanks." She thanked him again, slipping the bag on her shoulders.

"What you did back there was really impressive, I didn't know you had that kind of magic. You're a brave girl blondie, I'm proud of you." He smiled, making Lucy smile wide. He was proud of her.

"I did what I had to do, I couldn't let Ever get hurt. But, thank you, it means a lot coming from you."

He responded with a chuckle. "Go rest up and come to the guild later, I'm sure everyone would love to hear about how you defeated that monster." He gently smiled, making Lucy nod.

"Sounds like a great plan to me." She yawned, another wave of sleepiness washing over her.

He started to lean closer, making Lucy freeze.

His lips attached themselves to her cheek, leaving a gentle kiss.

When he pulled back he gently pat her head, ruffling up her hair a bit.

"I'm returning the favor," he winked before walking away. "See you later tonight, blondie." He waved before walking away.

Lucy violently blushed, all her blood rushing to her cheeks.

"Was h-he awake the whole time?" She screamed, covering her face with her hands.

"I can't believe him! He started snoring, at least I didn't say anything embarrassing." She sighed, walking into her building.

Laxus laughed as he heard her scream, he was pretty proud of himself. He must have been a good actor to make it seem like he was really asleep.

He had to admit, seeing her so embarrassed was adorable. Her blush was the cutest thing to him, he only hoped to see it more.

He heard all of Evergreens words, and he also agreed. He definitely felt that way towards Lucy, and he wished she felt the same way. But after seeing her act the way she did, he was confident that she did.

He walked into the guild with an extra pep in his step.

"Hey Laxus, where's Luce?" Natsu asked, running up to the older boy.

"She's at her apartment getting some rest, she did a lot this mission and she'll tell you all about it later." He mumbled, walking up the grand staircase to join his teammates.

"Did you have fun, hmm?" Evergreen asked, sipping some soda through her straw.

"I just dropped her off, nothing special." He shrugged, but that was a lie. Of course it was special.

And somehow, Evergreen knew it was special too.
