Normal P.O.V

"So what exactly is this mission?" Lucy questioned while walking with Gray and Natsu.

"We get to guard a whole town for a month!" Natsu smiled, getting his energy up.

"That's all? Why do we need so many people then?" She asked yet another question.

"Because it's supposedly a big town, and they are expecting a lot of trouble coming their way soon. So they want as many people as possible." Gray answered this time, Lucy nodding with agreement.

"Hey FairyTail! What's up guys?" The group turned to the voice, seeing a happy Sting accompanied by some members of his guild.

"Yo Sting!" Natsu smiled, giving the blonde boy a hug.

"Hey blondie." Sting smirked while walking up to her. "You're looking beautiful today." His expression only grew, making Lucy grow a blush of her own.

A low growl was heard from behind the pair, making Lucy turn around.

She locked eyes with Laxus, making her feel secure yet scared at the same time. She knew Laxus wasn't upset with her, but with Sting.

"Back off." Laxus mumbled, moving his gaze to Sting.

He immediately put his hands up defensively, backing away. "Sorry man, I didn't know she was yours." Sting pouted, feeling hurt that the blonde had a significant other.

Laxus nodded with a satisfied grunt, resting a hand on Lucy's shoulder.

"T-thanks Laxus, but let's keep moving." Lucy blushed, starting to walk again along with the rest of the group.

Laxus followed behind the small girl, taking glances every so often towards Sting, making sure that he isn't watching Lucy.

"Okay everyone, we are about thirty minutes out. I want to give everyone their assigned groups, this way once we get there we can immediately go to our posts. There will be no messing around on this trip." Erza spoke in a threatening tone.

"Gray, Natsu and Yukino." The boys turned to each other and glared, making Yukino sweat drop.

"Evergreen, Bixlow and Rogue." Rogue didn't say a word or change the plain expression on his face as he joined his groups members.

"Rufus, Orga and myself." She nodded to the two men, earning one in return.

"Finally, Sting Laxus and Lucy." She read our before rolling her scroll back up. Lucy sighed at her group, yes she was fine with Laxus and Sting on their own, but the boys are going to arguing non-stop when they're together.

"Hands to yourself." Laxus hissed when Sting joined the pair.

"Yea yea, I won't do anything." Sting rolled his eyes, the elder already annoying him.

"Come on, lets go." Lucy urged on, leaving the boys behind her once again as she began walking forward.

"Hey blondie, wait up." Sting jogged to catch up to her, Lucy already knowing what is going to come out of his mouth.

"Sting go a-" Lucy started but was cut-off by Sting.

"On behalf of Sabtertooth, I want to formally apologize for what Minerva did to you. It was so uncalled for and my actions were totally inappropriate. I'm sorry, Lucy." She stopped dead in her tracks, not sure as to what to say to him.

"It's really okay, I appreciate you apologizing though. It actually means a lot." Lucy smiled, still surprised that he could put his ego away, just to say he was sorry to her.

"I just felt bad, you didn't deserve to be treated that way. I had to make it right." He sighed, running his hand through his blonde locks.

"Thank you Sting." Lucy smiled, walking away.

Laxus had heard the whole conversation, and boy was he mad. Why did he wait until now to apologize? Laxus knew what Stings game was, and he was going to play too.
