Normal P.O.V
Lucy had been patrolling the southern side of the city for about two hours now. From what she could tell, it was only about 9 o'clock. She had been walking diligently, watching for any signs of danger. On the southern side of town, it was empty and the town seemed dead. But, for all Lucy knew, Sting and Laxus could be fighting right now, and the fact that Lucy didn't know what was going on, scared her.
Currently, Lucy was on the out skirts of town, she was walking along the jungle line, hoping that if anyone came, she'd be able to stop them as soon as possible.
Lucy heard the leaves rustling behind her and grabbed her keys. She slowly walked towards the noise, peaking through the leaves of the bushes. "What the -" Lucy was cut off when a bunch of soldiers came out of the bush rushing at her.
Lucy let out a panicked gasp before running away, the guarded men followed her, and Lucy knew that she couldn't run forever, she also knew that she had to keep the city safe. Lucy stopped running and pulled out her whip, grabbing the ankles of one soldier, using him as a weapon. She flung him around, taking out some of the other guards.
Happy flew at some of them, taking them out as he went.
She equipped into her Leo star dress, hitting some of them directly, causing even more damage to the seemingly weak men. The remaining men dispersed, and Lucy wasn't able to hit all of them as they ran around her.
When Lucy saw that her plan was failing, she equipped into her Taurus star dress, using the whip that held some of her nearly strongest spirits magic power, and began hitting them.
Lucy then switched out the whip for his axe, but, in the middle of her transition, one of the guards had kicked her to the ground, causing Lucy to groan.
"Is that all that you got?" She laughed before standing up.
Lucy saw that all of the remaining guards had guns and swords pointed towards her, making her nerves grow.
"I guess you had more than that." She awkwardly giggled, starting to dodge all of the incoming bullets.
Happy flew around, keeping his eye on Lucy incase he needed to swoop in.
A shining gold light appeared, causing a good supply of the men to be temporarily blinded. "Loke! Thank goodness you're here. I needed the help." Lucy thanked her favorite spirit while taking big gulps of air.
"Of course, my princess." He smiled before doing what he came to do and help Lucy take out some of the guards.
"They're literally coming out of no where!" Lucy grunts, her frustration level rising with every minute.
"Individually they're very weak, but together, they're strong." Loke reasoned, taking out a few guys with every punch.
"We have to do a unison raid! It's the only way, Loke." Lucy shouted over the screams of all the warriors, slowly making her way over to the lion. While on her way, one of the soldiers blades sliced her side clean open, eliciting Lucy to let out a sheer scream of pain.
She fell to the ground clutching her side. The guards took this as their chance to kick at Lucy, making it hard for the girl to bear the pain.
"Princess! Are you okay?" Loke had twice the men on him, and he wasn't sure how much longer he could keep this all up without Lucy.
As much pain as she was in, she knew she had to get up. She wasn't going to let this stop her, for all she knew Sting and Laxus were in a worse condition than she was.
"Y-yea, I'm okay." She groaned, standing to her feet, pushing people off of her left and right.
Loke grabbed Lucy's hand and pulled her to him, they laced both of their hands together, creating a magic circle around them. The force of the magic alone was able to bring some of the men to their knees, fueling the mages even more.
Lucy could feel the surge of magic flowing through her veins. The rush of power and adrenaline made Lucy feel good, in that brief moment, Lucy felt like she could take down anyone who crossed her path.
"Regulas Impact!" The duo screamed in unison, a brilliant glow encircled everyone involved, every single guard in sight falling to the ground lifeless.
When Lucy opened her eyes, she saw Loke smiling down on her. "I'm proud of you, princess." He said before his body disappeared into small golden particles.
"Thanks Loke, I couldn't have done it with out you." She smiled, breathing heavily as she looked around at the damage that was done.
Lucy heard feet running, and quickly equipped into her Sagittarius star dress, pulling the bow back, ready to fire.
She saw a small group of guards rushing to her, she rolled her eyes, and moved to be able to get a perfect shot. "We must have somehow missed a few." She growled, drawing back her bow.
She started to feel weak, but she knew that she had to finish what she started. Lucy fired one arrow at the guards, they laughed at her meekly arrow, but soon had worried faces as the arrow split into three, hitting all of them in the center of their chests.
"D-don't underestimate me! You cowards." She shouted, but it sounded more frail then strong.
Lucy changed into her regular clothes, falling to her knees. She leaned forward, clutching her side. Her eyes started to well up in pain. Her whole body ached, but her side especially hurt.
"Why does this hurt so bad?" She cried, "It's never been this bad." She whispered. She placed her head on top of her knees, giving her a small sense of support.
"Happy? Where are you?" She meekly called, hoping he went to get help. She scanned the area, her heart clenching as she saw the blue cat laying on the ground in a heap of guards.
She sniffled, crawling to him and pulling him out of the mess. Lucy hugged the creature to her chest, tears falling down her cheeks.
She looked behind her to see the sun starting to rise over the city, meaning that the town will wake up any minute. "I'm too far to even get back to the city." In reality, Lucy was less than a mile from the city, but with her injuries, there was no way that she'd be able to make it back before keeling over in the outskirts.
"The lacrima! Where's my bag?" She gasped, turning her head in all different directions. When she saw it several feet away, Lucy shook her head, already seeing the damage to her bag, "No way it's not destroyed." She groaned, this was when Lucy decided to give up, she fell on her side, knowing where she went wrong.
"I should have called! Why didn't I?" Deep down she knew she had forgotten about it while fighting, she also knew that she would't have been able to get away to do it, or even reach into her bag without them getting to her.
She also would not have left Loke alone to fight just to call backup, that wasn't right.
"Seriously what'd they do to me?" The burning only got worse, causing Lucy to scream out in pain again, letting loud sobs escape her mouth.
She folded her body even closer together if that was possible, hoping to help stop the pain on her side. Lucy was far from comfortable. She pulled the exceed closer to her chest, hoping he would offer song comfort.
Lucy's only response was to scream and cry, she had never been in this much pain, and her only hope of being found was to be as loud as possible.
