"What was that power? I've never seen it before.." Evergreen stared at Lucy in amazement.

"I've read about it before, but only once. It's the celestial spirits star dress. When in that form, she gains the power from the spirit without actually summoning one." Freed explained, a look of bewilderment on his face, he had read that this power was extremely rare. Only the strongest of the celestial mages were able to obtain it.

"Cheerleader is really something else, ain't she?" Bickslow chuckled, slowly becoming proud of the girl.

"Just how strong is she?" Laxus mumbled, picking Lucy up.

"Let's get her back to the hotel, she could use the rest. After all, she nearly single handedly took down that monster." Evergreen smiled, beginning the walk to the hotel.

"Freed, Bickslow, go to the mayors house and get the reward. We'll take her back." Laxus softly said, not wanting to wake Lucy up.

"Deal. We'll meet you soon." Freed nodded, walking in another direction with Bickslow in tow.

"I'm so proud of her. She's come so far, that was an S-class beast. She definitely deserves the Fairy Tail name." Evergreen smiled, looking at the sleeping girl.

"Yea, she really does." Laxus smiled.

After seeing how bravely she fought just now, made him think of her in a whole new light.

Even after everything the Thunder Legion has done to her, she still risked her life to save them. She had always been kind, and Laxus knew that.

He just never knew she was this kind or selfless.

She stirred a bit, giving Laxus a chance to study her delicate face.

She had smooth skin, and an adorable button nose. The curve of her cheeks to the plumpness of her lips, it all made Lucy beautiful.

She made him feel like he mattered. Like he wasn't just some other guy in the guild. She also did something not many had the guts to do, she talked to him.

He figured that when they were paired up for the mission, she was going to be afraid of him or ignore him. Instead, she had the biggest smile on her face and acted as if they were friends.

It meant the world to the big, burly man. Truly, it did. After the Fantasia incident, many members refused to talk to him, or even look at him for that matter.

Lucy, she was different. And oh boy did Laxus love it.

She had a heart of gold, a sweet and gentle soul.

And that was something he needed in his life.

He needed someone to keep him grounded, someone to sooth him in his worst moments. He also needed someone to tell him off when needed, something Lucy had also done in the past.

He appreciated the way she took care of him when he became sick on the train, his other friends would normally laugh. But she didn't. She helped to sooth him and make the ride enjoyable for him the best way she could.

And that's what he was going to do now, make her comfortable.

He slightly moved her, cradling her closer to his body. Hoping to give her some warmth. She snuggled into him, a smile tugging at her lips.

"Aw, would you look at that." He heard the sweet voice of Evergreen.

"Oh shut up." He mumbled, a light blush on his cheeks.

"Come on, her beds the one near the window." She smiled, opening her and Lucy's shared room.

He walked over, gently moving the sheets before placing her down. He pulled the sheets up and watched her get into a comfortable sleeping position.

He pat her head, showing how fond he was of the girl.

"Alright spark plug, get out of here. I'll handle her." Evergreen sighed, patting his arm.

"Try acting like this when she's awake, you know she'd love it. I can see the way you look at her, and the way you cared for her just now. I've never seen you like this, and I don't even know if you've admitted your feelings to yourself yet. But I'm sure she'd feel the same way if she saw just how sweet you are."

Laxus knew she was right about everything.

"I promise, I will."
