How can anyone live with themselves after doing that? I could feel my heart breaking with every step I take that is further and further away from the man I stabbed. How could I just leave him there? Katherine this is not the type of person you are! I stopped just as before I could reach the door to my freedom. This was not who I am, not now, not ever.
I swung the door of the artefact room to see him still bleeding on the floor giving me a very confused yet hurt look.
"Shut it! I am not going anywhere!" I said as I kneeled next to him.
Instead of arguing he smiled at me. I slowly helped him lay back down on the wood floor that was too dark to see. If you are wondering why there still light, well the flame never left the room, it's floating up in the middle of the ceiling which is pretty fantastic. Anyway back to the bleeding man!
"This is going to sting like hell" I warned him as I wrapped my right hand around the blade, feeling some of the blade cut into my palms. Taking a deep breath, I focused my eyes on the entrance of the wound.
"Tollere gladium" Slowly the knife but steady the knife began removing itself. I held tight against the blade that as soon as the blade was out I threw down next my legs. The blood was pouring out the wound like crazy. SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! I enclosed both my hands around the wound hoping that the pressure would stop the blood from getting out. No such luck. The warm blood was leaking out the holes in my hand, covering my hands red. How can I safe him? Come on Katherine think! What was in Merlin's book to help me? O, I remember! Taking another very deep breath, I focused again on the wound that was under my hand, picturing it in my head.
"Curare, Curare, Curare"
A tingle travelled through my body all the way to hands. A warm radiance began under my palms, getting stronger and stronger as I kept my focused. The man was crunching his teeth due to the pain. After a few second the warmth vanished under my palms but so did the feeling of blood. Taking my hands away, my heart felt like I had just done the impossible which I did since there was no wound, not even a scar. I relaxed my body and took a normal seat next to the guy, feeling very happy that I saved him.
"You should have left when you had the chance" He whispered to me as he sat in an upright position.
"I couldn't let you die no matter what" I said. I used my left hand and pulled some hair out of my face that was already covered in blood.
"You are definitely the opposite of him" He said with a great smile. For an evil man he had a very attractive smile.
"Why would you help me escape even after I thrust a sword into you" I asked.
"When the knife penetrated my stomach, the spell your brother placed on us broke. I could finally feel and think for myself again."
"He placed a spell on you?" I asked both shocked and confused.
"On everyone yes, if you didn't follow him, he would curse you'
I actually started to laugh at that. A few months ago I wouldn't even think of my brother the evil man and now I just saved a man from his evil curse.
"Glad you see the humour in it" He commented with a smile and laugh f his own.
"Hard not to. Guess I should get going before Valerie wakes up. She going to be very ticked off when she gets out of there" I said as I stood up, whipping the blood of on my pants. Why am I always covered in blood?
"Yes you should but I'm going with you." The man said as he also stood up, you couldn't see the blood on his black shirt, lucky bastard. My white blouse was covered in either my own blood or in his.
