Chapter 10 - The Great Wall

Every step was another closer to the wall. A step further away from my past. My friends. I was the reason those people died. I was the reason people were taken and I know that I can do something about it.

The day was getting warmer and warmer, who would've thought that it would be so hot after a cold morning but hey I am not complaining. I just passed through the last village or town as some people would say. The village was known as Heartland as it was the centre of Camelot. During the first war, a huge amount of people gathered within Heartland to escape the gruesome battle. My dad use to say that a wizard placed a protection spell on Camelot but the centre of the spell existed out of Heartland making it indestructible against magic. Making it harder for dark wizards and witches to enter Heartland. The same goes for the Lake Of Light. When a person with dark intentions enters the lake, the magic that is within the lake attacks the person. It's like the person stepped in acid and is hard to get out once it's got tight grip on you. No wonder my brother never swam in the lake guess he knew he would get fried alive. Jacob why did you do this? All I hope is when I reach my brother, I can make him see the light. Make him forget the darkness that is taking over him.

"And where do you think you're going?"

I was snapped back to reality when a voice spoke from behind me. I turned around only to see both Eric and Sebastian behind me. Eric with his arms crossed against his chest and Sebastian's on both his hips. Sebastian was wearing a black cotton waistcoat that looked like a jacket with buttons keeping closed. Around the waist was a black jean that went with black combat boots, across his shoulder was his favourite black gym backpack across his left shoulder. His brown hair was spikey again like always and he was cleaned shaven since the last time I saw him. Sebastian's muscly arms were standing out bigger in the waist coat but there was still little scars on his arm and face. Eric was standing next to him looking more handsome than ever. Dressed in a blue t-shirt with a dark blue jean and black high tops. The blue made his eyes pop even more. Could he get anymore handsome? His lips looked so soft and his eyes looked so dreamy. Even though he looked angry at me. Across his right shoulder was a black backpack. Whoa, wait a minute? How did they know where to find me? Better question, how did they know I left?

"How did you find me?" I asked.

"Well seeing as I am your best friend it was not that hard of a stretch of guessing you are leaving" Sebastian commented while Eric just shook his head.

"Merlin told us." Eric said.

Should've known Merlin was behind this but how did he know where... Never mind. Never question the motives or how when it comes to a warlock. He must've casted a spell to find me, I knew I should've taken a car to the wall.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

Eric and Sebastian walked closer to me but Eric stopped in front whilst Sebastian stopped next me and threw his arm around me shoulder.

"Did you really think we were going to let you do this alone? Plus it's an excuse to get away from Arthur." Sebastian said.

I waited for Eric to say something but watched as he gave Sebastian a look. Sebastian removed his arm from my shoulders and started walking a little further away from us. I turned my attention back to Eric only to find him right in front me.

"I almost lost you once, I am not going to leave you again" He reached his hand and glided his fingers down my left cheek. Caressing it. His fingers sent electricity through my body making my heart beat even faster.

"Eric I..."

"No buts. I am coming, so get used to having me around."

All I could do was smile at that notion. I so wanted to kiss him no but I know I would get an earful from Sebastian and that can be scary.
