Two minutes passed and you were all still engulfed in utter darkness. Stuck in the same escape room.
"...is something meant to happen?" Jimin whispered.
"Maybe we have to find the lights." Jungkook suggested. His breath tickled against your nape.
"You mean we have to... look around?" Hoseok gulped. You stuck your hand in the direction of your brother's voice.
"Who's this?" You ran your hand down someones arm.
"Hobi-oppa." Hoseok answered. At that, you gently hugged him from the side to comfort him. You heard him giggle and relax his tense muscles.
Suddenly, a hand pulled you away from Hoseok and into the darkness.
"Yah yah Jungkook take Taehyung-oppa not me!" You pulled back, but Jungkook plainly ignored you.
Jimin's small hands wrapped around your arm and saved you from Jungkook, who in turn turned round and sighed.
Jungkook slowly walked forward into the darkness, masking his fear.
As Jungkook moved a few more paces with nothing happening, you felt a little more confident. Maybe nothing was meant to happen.
Jimin released your arm and let you wonder forwards, too. You strayed into the darkness until your hands met with a wall. Tracing your fingers along the wall, they met with a small switch.
"I found the lights!" You exclaimed happily, flicking the switch. Only, nothing happened.
Not until a puppet swooped down from nowhere, causing your arms to fly up to defend your face. You didn't even have time to scream as it pushed you down to the ground and disappeared into nothing. You slumped on the ground, breathing heavily and aghast.
"Boo." Jungkook suddenly whispered in your ear. You squeaked and whipped round to meet him, stunned by your almost unreal experience with a flying puppet.
"Why are you on the floor? I thought you found the lights." The boy muttered as he helped you up.
"There was like, like a toy clown-puppet..." You began whilst surveying your surroundings cautiously.
Jungkook noticed how you were still holding on to the tip of his fingers since he'd helped you up.
"Show meeee." Jungkook pleaded, pulling repeatedly on your hand.
"But it was scary." You murmered.
Jungkook only shrugged. In response you gradually walked over to where you remembered the switch being.
Your head shot up almost instantly as Jungkook flicked the switch, on radar for anything that could attack you in the sky.
But instead, an area at the end of the room illuminated - revealing four doors.
Jungkook jogged up to the doors, as did Jimin and Seokjin. Everyone met there, pockets of light seeped from holes under specific doors.
"There's only 4 doors..." Namjoon mumbled.
Yoongi had his arm around Hoseok's shoulder. "We should split into groups then."
"Groups of 2." Namjoon added.
"Leader~" Jimin grinned, hugging Namjoon. Namjoon jumped slightly at the impact but grinned back. "You're my partner." Jimin said.
Hoseok and Yoongi had already supposedly chosen each other.
Seokjin gave his signature wink at Taehyung, but Taehyung pouted; grabbing a hold of Jungkook's arm.
On the other hand, Jungkook wanted to be with you since he knew you'd be easiest to scare. Which was, of course, the whole fun of this Halloween escape room.
"You can't escape me." Jin teased, flicking Taehyung's forehead.
You glanced at Seokjin. Casually expressing, "I'll go with Seokjin-ssi."
Seokjin scoffed, causing you to hit his arm. "I'm not that bad!"
"I never said you were!" Jin countered, waving his arms around. "But I wanted to go with Taehyung-ah!"
"...Okay then Hyung." Taehyung sighed, nonetheless grinning; knowing he'd be dragged into being paired with Seokjin sooner or later.
Using the process of elimination, you turned to Jungkook, expectantly. He smirked at you... Which is not a good sign.
Turning away from Jungkook, you met eyes with Jin. "Yah, Seokjin-ssi, please can I be with you - Jungkook-ah will bully me the whole time."
"Jungkookie, do not torment your sister." Seokjin declared, giving Jungkook a steely glare. "Do you understand?"
Jungkook sharply nodded, standing up straight like a solider. "Yes, Seokjin-Hyung!" He emphasised playfully.
Namjoon smiled softly at me, "You'll make it out alive, don't worry."
Spinning around to Jungkook, he grinned mischievously. "Let's go~"
