I woke up next morning with my crazy hair.

*bzzzzzt*

I felt my phone vibrating. It's Dana. I answered it. "DANA CAN'T YOU GIVE A GIRL A BREAK." I shouted, annoyed at his sudden call. Hell, it's just 6 AM!

"I'm really sorry Laine, but this is an emergency. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY!"

This made me jump out of my bed. ''What?! What happened?" I said, grabbing my clothes to change and go straight to IM5 or whatever they call that house. "Laine I don't know what to do. The boys won't help me." I can hear the panic in his voice.

I finished changing and Dana just kept on talking. He's really persistent in not telling me what's wrong. Seriously, if someone sneaks in and tries to scare me, now is the right time!

I immediately went in my mom's car and drove to their house.

''Dana, what's wrong?!" I barged inside the house and rushed over to Dana when I saw him.

"I can't see Daphnie!" He said with the same tone I heard earlier. "Who the heck is Daphnie?!" I said, trying to catch my breath.

"Remember when I visited you recently?" I nodded, trying to follow his words. He stopped talking and looked at me, as if expecting me to know what he's talking about. "Yeah?" I said, cutting the dead silence.

"I was wearing her that day," he said.

"What?" Seriously, he's not making any sense.

"They're shoes." Cole, Gabe, and Dalton said while playing video games. They were seated on the floor.

Suddenly my whole world dropped.

"Dana! I drove from the edge of LA all the way here without thinking of taking a bath because I thought you were arrested or  something and then here you are whining that your shoes went missing! What kind of logic do you have?!" I can feel my ears turning red. "But it really is an emergency!" He insisted. I looked at him with disbelief.

"Oh no no, Dana. You have three seconds."

Dana's POV
"Oh no no, Dana. You have three seconds."

Oh no. Run, Dana. RUN! I cover my ears and started to run around the house. I can feel my snapback loosing up and later on it was caught by the wind. OH SHOOT! I looked back, planning to get it but then I saw Laine.

Oh never mind! I'm really sorry Charmaine but I can't risk my ear's life for you, my dear snapback.

"Dana Vaughns, COME BACK HERE!"

I made my way to the boys, running around them as they were laughing so hard at me and Laine.

Gabe tripped me and I stumbled over the couch. "I GOT YOU NOW, YOU LITTLE MONKEY!"

The other guys laughed at me. "AAAHH!" I screamed when I saw Laine. She was so close to me! She attempted to get a grip on my ear, but I managed to avoid and stand up and start running again.

She groaned, and was about to get near me and my ear again, when I saw Will walking down the stairs. I ran behind him and got a tight hold on his sleeves.

Laine suddenly stopped running a few steps away from me and Will and it looked like her feet were frozen to the ground.

Suddenly, all of the guys burst out laughing. Well, including me but excluding Will, who was badly blushing up to his ears.

I looked at Laine and she is too! But she just glued her eyes to the ground 'til Will spoke, "Uhh, I need to go upstairs," he said and went his way quickly up the stairs.

We were still laughing but not as hard as earlier. I tried to calm myself to meet Laine's gaze but couldn't so I went closer to her and held her shoulders. "Hey, are you okay? I'm sorry I didn't mean to--"

"I have to go," she said calmly, cutting me in mid-sentence and shoved my hands away from her shoulders.

She turned her back on me and waved to the boys. "Bye guys." Still, her eyes were glued on the floor.

"Uh, Dana?"

"Yeah?" I turned to face Dalton who called out my name.

"I think you need to talk to Laine. We all know how she is in this kind of situation." Ehe, I kind of agree with that.

"Right."

I ran over to the door to come after Laine but what I saw is a speeding car driving away from the house.

I went back inside and told them, "She went home."

"Give her some space, man. She's probably mad at you," Cole said.
