JANUARY 5 - MONDAY

Laine's POV

New Year's went by quickly and so is Dana's birthday. He spent his birthday with his family in Pittsburgh, then had a small celebration with us last Saturday.

Well, moving on, today is Monday, and we're back to school.

Yep, that's right. First Monday of the year. It sucks, really.

So, yeah. Alex went out before me because she has to go to her own school. Aunt Kristy took her to school, and said that they might stay at our house 'til Alex finishes this school year.

Going back to my normal life, being a wallflower and a stupid kid in Chemistry, I grabbed my bag, making sure I have everything in it.

I glanced at the clock. 5:42 AM. Hmm, an hour and a quarter before my first class. Oh well. I'll eat breakfast, and I better go.

I went out of my room and to the kitchen. Mom and Dad were there, eating breakfast.

"You're going to school this early? Aren't kids supposed to be lazy on the first day?" Dad asked, taking a bite on his bread.

"I don't want to be late, dad. And of course we have to catch up on each other." I sat in front of him, beside mom.

"We? You and who?" He asked. I grabbed a slice of bread and the jam. I spread some and folded the bread.

"Me and my friends, dad! Geez, you have too many questions." I said.

I ate in silence after that, and drank a glass of water, straight.

"Want me to drive you to school?" Mom asked. I just smiled and shook my head.

"It's just a 6-minute walk. I'm gonna walk. And I should go now." I gave my parents a kiss on the cheek as I bid goodbye and walked out of the house.

Damn, it's cold. Good thing I wore long sleeves today. I'd be freezing if I didn't.

**
Cass arrived before me, and we hugged as soon as we saw each other.

"Cassidy you look like we haven't seen each other for years!" I told her when we pulled back. "We were together three days ago, at Dana's birthday, right?" I giggled.

"Nah, would you believe that I'm actually a bit excited for first day?" She smiled widely. I just shook my head and laughed, "Something's caught up in your brain, girl. You're insane." I said. I looked around, "Anyway, have you seen Tique?"

"I was with her earlier, actually. We were both waiting for you to arrive, 'til Dalton pulled her to somewhere and poof." She shrugged. I nodded. We started to walk. To where, we don't know. We have like, 45 minutes before our first class.

So the boys are here now, huh. Must be surrounded by their fans again.

Cassidy's phone rang, so she answered it while we walked.
"Hey." She spoke. "Now? ... Where-- oh! ... Okay okay... ... We'll go there. ... Okay! ... Byeee."

After hanging up, she turned to me. "Cole said that they are all in the garden."

"Garden? What garden?" I asked. Don't tell me they're planning to plant some potatoes! I am no Princess Sarah!
