Laine's POV
"Hi guys! So before Cristine posts the next chapter of me and Will's story..." I nudged Will on the side. "Stupid! Help me here!"
"Okay, okay! I'm sorry!" He put his slice of pizza down on a plate next to his laptop. We're sitting on his bed, attempting to shoot for a small YouTube video.
He looked at me with his innocent face, "What should I say?"
I stared at him unbelievingly. We already rehearsed this. He should know.
Looking back at the webcam, I said, "Sorry for that. So as I was saying, before Cristine posts the next chapter of me and Will's story, why don't you all... Do her a little favor?" I nudged Will and whispered, "Your turn."
"So." Will said, "Cristine's trying to help her good friend, Dianne, get her book to a thousand reads as soon as possible. As of now, it's at 880+ reads. So she told me and Laine that she was thinking of..."
"Waiting for No One Else Comes Close to reach 1k reads before continuing me and Will's story!" I enthusiastically said. I hope I'm doing good enough. If we won't convince the people to help get No One Else Comes Close to 1k, I'm afraid Cristine will make a way for me and Will to break up.
And I don't want that.
"So... She kinda told us that she'll post the real GTKY Chapter 35 only if you get No One Else Comes Close to 1k reads. Please?" Will said and put his arm around me. "Yeah, and please vote for Dianne's chapters too and tell her what you think through the comments," I continued.
"So... That's all, 5ers! Please please help us in this campaign, and... Spread the word! We love you all!" We smiled one last time and stopped recording.
We posted it on YouTube, and looked at each other.
"Do you think they'll help Cristine in this campaign?" Will asked me.
"I think so. I hope so." I said. I'm afraid of what Cristine might do to our relationship if she'll fail in helping her friend.
I just hope the campaign will be successful.
