"Umm, Lucy, don't you think we should've changed before going outside in the middle of the night?" Asked Evergreen shivering.I feel bad for her, I have a hoodie on and I still feel cold. Must be because I'm wearing shorts.
"Y-yeah, I feel embarrassed wearing this out in the open" Complained Wendy shyly.
"Oh come on girls! No one's going to see you and it's not even that cold!" The blonde assured them. None of us bought it though.
"Ok then party poopers. Wendy and Evergreen can go change, the rest of you stay here and deal with it."
Evergreen and Wendy ran towards Lucy's house and we waited for them to return. They came back minutes later, Wendy wearing leggings and a dark blue jumper and Evergreen wearing a warm light green dress, tights and a white fluffy coat over it.
"Alright, I'll explain the rules" Lucy stated "There are 11 of us here, meaning we will split up in four pairs and one group of three. Since I was the one who set all of this up, there's no point in me playing so you will all go in pairs and I'll choose a pair to walk around with. I won't help though. Now let's head over to the treasure hunt" She continued.
We're currently standing right outside her door. She tells us to follow her to where the treasure hunt will take place and by the time we're there she wants us to all be in our pairs.
Once we get there, we all stand in our pairs, separated from the other ones, Lucy standing in front of all of us.
The pairs are:
•Me and Meredy
•Wendy and Carla
•Mira and Yukino
•Erza and Levy
•Cana and Evergreen
Lucy decided to join Wendy's and Carla's pair, as she is the youngest here and we can never be too cautious.
"Alright, I will now explain the rules of the game." She pointed to the forest behind her. "In the forest behind me there are clues scattered all around. The clues are not in a specific order so you don't have to find them by numbers. You just have to find any of them and understand it. That will lead you to the next clue. There are 2 treasures hidden in the forest, meaning there will be 2 winning pairs. Also, the clues will not repeat, there is only one copy per clue in the entire forest so if you find a clue, your pair will be the only one who has it. Reminder that you should always keep your clues, don't leave them anywhere as you might help other teams. Any questions?" She asked.
"Yeah, that forest is huge, how do we know the limits? Like there has to be a certain area that you cannot leave while searching for clues." Said Mira.
"Don't worry, I had Freed put a magic barrier around the area you can search in, so you physically cannot leave the area. Also, you have 3 hours to complete this, and just a warning the area you will be searching in is massive. It'll take you a while. If you have any problems use these communication lacrimas." Lucy handed each pair a communication lacrima.
"If you and your pair separate, you will be disqualified. If you use magic, you will be disqualified. If you get help from other teams or help other teams you will be disqualified." She continued. Jeez, that's a lot of rules... "And last but not least, in the communication lacrimas you will see that there is a small red button on it. Only press that button if you have found one of the 'treasures' and have made it back here. The first two teams to press the button win (well only two teams can press the button since there is only 2 prizes)"
"What if no one finds the treasures within the 3 hours?" Asked Yukino.
"Well then, if none are found no one wins and if only one is found, only the team who found it win."
