FIRST-PERSON POV.
Cactus is smarter than all of us here, with the exception of Starshine. No, I'm not saying that because I like him, I'm saying it BECAUSE IT'S TRUE. Let me get back to talking about Cactus now.
She's smart but really quiet. There's something that's not right about her, something off. She's been acting weird, constantly wandering in the forest, not doing much work.
What went on in her mind? Why was she even out here? I took a step forwards again, glaring right back at her. I wanted answers.
"What are you doing out here?" I snapped. "You're supposed to be at camp."
She didn't reply, she just got back up still giving me a cold look. It was a little unsettling, but it just made me more willing to force the answers out of her. What had Cactus done for us? The most she's been doing is occasionally helping Rocky with repairing the walls and then sneaking off into the forest. And she had taken that knife we found. It finally registered in my mind that Cactus could've been the one who'd attacked Starshine.
We stood there for a minute. Finally, she said "None of your business." I growled, about to say something, but Starshine poked my shoulder. I looked at him and he shook his head. I sighed and started walking off, and he followed.
I don't like Cactus.
