CHAPTER SIX
Later that evening; Shay was seen talking to a male companion on a reasonably quiet street that had shops at every turn.
“Yeah, so you know, it was madness”
“I’m glad you’re alright” The male replied in a gracious yet gruff voice
“Leon, you’ve really taken a shine to me, haven’t you?”
“Yeah, I guess so. But, you know me doing most of your coursework means you’re not learning anything”
“Allow the long talk” Shay declared “Isn’t this nice...just me and you”
“It’s cool” Leon grinned
“So...this thing with you and Vincent...”
“Vincent is a waste man” Leon declared “I don’t care, he had it coming. I’m not a road man anymore, that was weeks ago. I’m strictly focused on doing right in my life for once. I’m only eighteen; I can’t throw my life away”
“Strong words...I couldn’t agree more” Shay lied
Leon was infatuated with Shay, and almost couldn’t take his eyes off of her. Shay looked at him suddenly; he turned his head quickly forward to avoid suspicion. Shay grinned
“What’s up Leon...come on tell me...?” She declared in a flirtatious manner
“N...N...Nothing...” Leon stammered. They entered an alley way. Shay pushed Leon against a wall. Leon’s heart started thudding and beating against his chest. Shay stood up close to Leon
“Urm...what’s happening?”
“Don’t you like me, L?” Shay smiled
“Of course, you’re extremely beautiful...” Leon smiled
“...Well, am I expecting a ‘but’?”
“The thing is...I’m just not ready for all this. You are very pleasing to my eyes, but I’m really focused on my career prospects, I don’t have time for a girlfriend”
Shay began to chuckle
“What’s funny...?”
“You said ‘girlfriend’” Shay smiled “You’re speaking much less slang than you do. You’re coming hard with them big man words. Darling, Shay does not do the girlfriend/boyfriend’ thing anymore; I’m just having fun whilst I’m young” Shay caressed Leon’s face
“Shay...please...”
“Don’t...ruin...this...moment...” Shay cooed, as she then embraced Leon on the lips. Leon couldn’t resist, and he placed his hands on Shay’s waist as they locked lips. Shay then removed her lips from Leon’s
“Not bad, big man” Shay smiled
“I would blush, but I’m quite dark so you won’t notice” Leon smiled
“Are you mugging yourself?” Shay grinned [MUGGING: Make fun of]
“Take it as you want it, Shay” Leon grinned back. Shay’s phone begun to ring
“Leon, I’ve got to take this. Stay there, I’ll be right back”
“Shay, I’ve got to get home to study for my History exam”
“I won’t be 1 minute, darling. Hold on” Shay then took the phone call.
Out of the shadows then appeared 4 brute-like young men who surrounded Leon. Leon look baffled, but then am immerging figure soon appeared; Leon locked eye contact with the man
