FAIR WARNING

CHAPTER SEVEN

The group finished the food they were eating. The atmosphere seemed mellow, nothing unusual or out of the ordinary seemed to occur.

Lil was in the restroom freshening up in front of a mirror. She then paused and looked at herself in the mirror. She scowled, clearly not liking the image that stared back at her. Two black female teenagers entered the restroom. Lil recognized them, but ignored them, hoping they would ignore her. One of the girls approached the mirror, and applied lip-gloss on her lips. She turned to Lil

“Hey...you’re that girl”

“Well yeah, I’m a girl” Lil stated sarcastically “All the time whenever you see me you’re like this...”

“Listen; don’t be giving me them dead answers. You better not have an attitude too, with your weird self”

“How can you talk to me like that?” Lil asked, but with a lack of confidence

“Well...It’s easy, that’s how” The girl spat “Why is your life like this? You got cuts on you, wearing dark clothes, bet you can’t wait to die and all. Pretty sad”

“Shut up...”

“Full of hate on the world, when in reality emos should hate just themselves; no one gives a damn about you slitting your wrists, listening to rubbish music, making out like everything in the world is bad. Bet you believe in vampires and werewolves too”

“I SAID SHUT UP” Lil barked in rage, as she clenched her fists. Clearly out of character, Lil reverted back to her calm self, and quietly made her way out

“YO YOU NEGATIVE BITCH, I AIN’T DONE WITH YOU”

“Let it go, Janelle” The other girl began, as she exited the toilets “She isn’t worth it” She approached the sink to wash her hands

“Weird bitch, I swear I was on banging that thing up”

“Trust” The other girl laughed. As Lil walked, she slipped on some spilled water, and fell hard to the ground. The other girls were crying with laughter. Feeling defeated, Lil just gradually rose to her feet and exited the restroom.

Lil approached the table and sighed

“You okay?” Dalmar asked, as he drank his bottle of water

“I will be” Lil replied. The group then heard shouting, and looked to that direction. Solomon was livid

“Sir, I am so sorry” The waiter said with no expression

“MY SHIRT...” Solomon barked. The waiter had spilled the wine on Solomon’s shirt, staining it in the process. The waiter coldly walked off.

“Darling, don’t worry about that idiot” Diamond assured him

“I’ve got bigger things to worry about anyway” Solomon stressed “Like how I am on the verge of getting sacked, after not giving out enough parking tickets. I’m too soft on people”

“Aww” Diamond cooed “That’s why I love you”

They embraced. Diamond rose from her seat, holding Solomon’s hand as they got up and walked. Solomon tapped on Courtney’s shoulder

“We shall talk again”

“We will...sorry about your shirt” Courtney smiled

“This old thing...? It’s no major issue, I can get a new one” Solomon laughed. The whole group laughed

“What a clown” Paul laughed to DeMarion, as the others were laughing. The laughing died down “Because that is a nice shirt. Looks expensive too, I would bang up the guy differently who done that. That’s pure violation”
