Chapter 1: The New Student

Ang dami talagang tao na gustong makilala sila. Ginagawa ang lahat para lamang may makapansin sa kanila. Laging nakikipag-compitensiya para lang sa grades. Baka kung ano-ano pa ngang strategy ang ginagawa nila para lang mataasan ang iba.

And this is me even if I am genius enough to compete and be in the first place, I'm just sitting here and relaxing while holding a book inside the library, reading my favorite book— Sherlock Holmes.

I know, I know. Lots of you may think that Sherlock Holmes seriously but well, sorry to say that is really my favorite book.

I just entered the school without others noticing. Why? Because I am the no. 1 person that never ever and ever comes into your mind and the person that doesn't exist. Yes, I am a nerd and a non existing person. One and only, Reign Middleton.

Here in Houston High, there is only one person who can see me and who can talk to me. She doesn't care if I do not exist in this place because for her, I am the most loyal friend she have. Kung makikilala mo siya, magugulat ka talagang ako pa ang kinakausap niya. Why? Because she is the most famous female student here in Houston High. She is the prettiest and the most known person in the school. She is the heartthrob here and you can't deny it. She has a long hair, straight na straight ito and also black, as in black na black. Long eyelashes and it is naturally curved. Red lips even without makeup. Makapal din ang kilay niya, di naman sobra pero yung tama lang na babagay talaga sa kaniya at maayos na maayos ito, no need to shave the excess. Saktong sakto lang din ang curve ng katawan niya, looks like a hourglass. Maputi din ang kulay ng balat niya kaya di ka na magtataka kung bakit siya ang pinakamaganda dito. She is my roommate and only person that I talk to, Chloe Houston. Yes, just as you thought, she is a Houston, the daughter of the owner of this school.

“Reign. I wanna know your opinion.” she said while turning around. She is wearing an off shoulder blue dress na hindi pa umaabot sa tuhod niya. Partnered with pearl earrings and necklace. “Is it great. I need to look good mamaya dahil pupunta kasi ako mamayang gabi sa bahay dahil may dinner daw kami. Is it good?”

Nakaupo lang ako sa couch na nasa sala ng dorm namin ni Chloe. Why would she bother asking me? I don't have sense in fashion. Well FYI, I'm just wearing my school uniform. Di ko pa nga plinansta. My black shoes. Glasses to support my eyes, and a hair that is as always in a ponytail. I'm not like others that doesn't even bother to comb their hairs. I comb my hair once a day. So don't underestimate my hair for that.

“Hmm, base in the color of the dress, it is really fit on you. But think first before you use it and go outside. You should not wear your earrings and necklace with you. Especially the one that is in your hand, obviously your ring. You might get kidnapped and ask your parents for ransom. And if your unlucky, you might also get hurt or if your unlucky enough, you might end up being killed just by those. I think those jewelries cost much. If I may say it cos—”

“Okay okay. Tama na Reign okay. Ito nanaman tayo sa mahabang pinagsasasabi mo eh. I just need an answer, yes or no.”

“I already told you, it fit you well but you migh—”

“Reign” tinaasan niya ang boses niya and gave me a deadly glare.

“Okay okay.” I raised both of my hands like I am about to surrender. “Yes it is good but again—”

“That's the only answer that I need” napahinga siya ng malalim na para bang nawalan ng tinik sa lalamunan.

“Im just concerned” raising both of my shoulders.

“Yes I know your concerned about me that's why...” tinanggal niya lahat ng mga alahas na suot niya at ipinasok iyon sa loob ng bag niya. “Pag nandoon na ako bago ko to susuotin.”
