SOTD: EVERY LITTLE THING SHE DOES IS MAGIC BY SLEEPING AT LAST (I ADORE THIS COVER OF THE SONG...BRB CRYING)
He didn't trust me.
"Come on, Harper! Don't you think you're being a little unreasonable?" I turned to glare at Dexter and he zipped his mouth shut.
Despite not even having a scheduled shift, I went straight to the planetarium after leaving the guys' place.
They still hadn't quit blowing up my phone and, when I refused to pick up, they put Trish up to it as well.
"Harper, you gotta understand" Trish began earlier that day.
"Trish if you're calling about anything Andrew related get off the phone and save your battery instead" I had sighed plopping my phone into the car charger. I heard her audible sigh and she clucked her tongue.
"Fine"
That was the good thing about Trish. She got it. She got what it felt like to have a boyfriend who was simply a different species of boy. But this afternoon, as I sat in the lunchroom , Dexter needed some schooling.
"How is she being unreasonable?" Sophia, our short redheaded manager, gasped, "she's totally in the right here"
"How?" Dexter gave her a pointed look and I waited for Soph to speak.
"Its the principle of the fact! Relationships are a union; you aren't supposed to go at it alone. The fact that he won't tell her about this meeting shows that he doesn't care enough to include her in aspects of his life. If the roles were reversed, he would say she was being petty by not telling him. There shouldn't be secrets in relationships"
Dexter's eyes widened as Soph finished and I pursed my lips.
"YASSS queen, slay" I snapped my fingers and Soph twirled with a flourish.
"Yeah yeah yeah" Dexter rolled his brown eyes and ran a hand through his curly hair, "I just really don't think its fair for you to cut him off"
"Good thing we don't care"

After the planetarium, I sat through typical LA traffic for what felt like years before I finally got home. Sluggishly, I made my way to my apartment, unlocked my door and immediately yanked my "see how the stars shine" blazer, off. Remind me to never take a shift simply because I was upset.
Looking back, I now realize that I should probably start waiting till I'm in my room, to undress. I should probably also learn to turn my lights on, too.
"Stupid shoes" I hissed hopping up and down as the buckle on my Mary Jane refused to loosen.
"Harper"
"OH MY GOD" I shouted as a deep voice came from my living room. Without another word, I discarded my shoe and ran for the door, struggling to yank it open.
"Harper stop, its me" I felt a large hand on my shoulder and did what anybody in my position would do.
I backhanded my attacker.
"Harper! What the fuck?!?" My attacker dropped to the ground in a heap and my eyes widened as I noticed a familiar set of blue eyes in the light that the moon cast.
Frantically feeling around for the light switch, I turned the hallway lights on and watched in horror as a puddle of blood made its presence known.
"Jude!" I hissed crouching beside him and trying to get a good look, "Are you okay?"
"You've got quite the swing" he muttered sitting up slowly.
"Here let me get some ice" I quickly ran to my kitchen and yanked the freezer open as Jude slowly stood up.
