They were looking down at him, looking at him as if he was insignificant; a small fry they could squash at any moment – Ridiculous. They were just a bunch of weaklings he could crush while sleep walking and yet because they sit in the position of authority, they think they can boss him, do whatever they want. He was indeed one of them, but not their toy. They didn't seem to realize that they were just a bunch of humans he could destroy with a snap of his fingers.

The chairman of the Magic Council was another human Naruto was starting to hate. Over the past year, the man has been trying to tie some shackles around him. He was trying to make him an obedient soldier of the Council. Naruto Uzumaki wasn't Lahar. He was beyond this powerless Council. They could not touch him. And if he so wanted, he could make them all a memory. There was the danger of revolt by the Guilds, and so Naruto was cautious about it.

But Naruto had decided: these people were not fit to rule. Not this chairman. And it wasn't because this man seemed to have something against him. Naruto didn't like him – that was without question. But the entire council had a problem. If someone decided to destroy the council, he would not even try to protect them. He would watch them get destroyed, just so he could move in silently to reform it.

He was this close.

At that moment, Naruto laughed in thought. Had it been in the Elemental Nations and he was still 'Death' he would have been laughing maniacally, saying he was close to his hegemony. But he was not in the Elemental nations. He was living in this world of magic and he was not evil. He wore the mask of good.

"Silence!"

The chairman shouted furiously. He glared down at the blond Uzumaki for a long moment as the blond contained his laughter. The disrespect. If they really weren't afraid of the backlash, he would have ordered for this person to be chained down and thrown into a pit that didn't have an exit. But who would carry out the duty? He had to think of a suitable person who could do that. They certainly couldn't allow this person to continue forever.

"What is so funny, Uzumaki?" A member of the Council asked calmly.

Naruto shook his head. "I wasn't laughing at the Council..." he said with a smile on his lips. "I was just thinking about what I could be doing in a situation where I was an evil entity. Sometimes I allow my thoughts to turn a little crazy."

The air was thick, they probably thought he was mocking them, but Naruto didn't care. It was true that these were the people that decided on what was right and wrong, but did they scare him? Their weapons didn't make him feel frightened. He was fine without magic. They couldn't touch him. Not these ants.

"What does the Council want from me?" Naruto asked; he was no longer smiling. Although he asked nicely, his eyes were something else – a stern look that demanded an immediate response.

"There are a couple of issues we want to discuss with you but for today, we want to talk about your continued association with Fiore's royal family."

Naruto had known long ago that the Magic Council and Fiore really didn't like each other. The Council regulated the use of magic and the royal family ruled this country. But the royal family had some things that they did that the council didn't agree with. Fiore could not control the Council, but the Council still did as it pleases in this country. If it was going to do something that could wipe out an entire town, it would do it. Fiore would certainly be displeased over the loss of its people.

But what could it do against the Council?

Nothing

It didn't have the power to do anything. It was no wonder the King liked having him around. Hisui's affections were just convenient and made things easy for the old man.
