((Josephine makes her way towards the kitchen where she assumes Alice is, she is still reeling from what just happened))
Josephine: "Alice, I need to ask you something" ((she shouts through the flat)) "Is it bad to sleep with someone on a first date?" ((She adds entering the kitchen))
Alice: "Did you?" ((Shock clear in her voice, while Mel and the boys stand there laughing))
Josephine: ((Jumps, her eyes widening, she can feel her cheeks flushing, she had no idea Alice wasn't alone)) "No, of course not! I really wanted to though" ((she responds trying to act unaffected by their presence))
Mel: "I think it depends on how the evening went, clearly yours went well" ((she points to Josephine's hair that is slightly messy))
Alex: "I always sleep with the person on the first date, but then there's never usually a second one" ((he adds while jack gives him a high five))
Mel: "Why are you bragging about that? Surely you should be ashamed that once is enough for a girl to never want to go near you again" ((she adds rolling her eyes))
Jack: "Fuck, she's got a point there. I retract my earlier high five" ((he says giving Alex a sympathetic look))
Alex: ((mimics a fake laugh before saying)) "We should be leaving anyway, it's late" ((he gives Alice a light kiss on the cheek and waves to Josephine))
((Mel and Jack follow him, saying goodbye to both of them))
Josephine: "You guys seem to be getting close" ((she adds before taking a seat near the counter))
Alice: "Melanie is great, we should hang out with her more. Tweedledum and Tweedledee aren't so bad either, I guess" ((she says folding the twister mat))
Josephine: "I think our minds are being clouded by their accents. I think we should stay away from them" ((she says with a light laugh))
Alice: "Was the date that bad?" ((She questions))
Josephine: "More like it was that good! He's so charming it's unfair. The moment I think I've got him figured out, he does something to surprise me" ((she answers)) "But I can't shake this feeling I have that he acts like two different people, when he's with me he's funny, sweet and romantic but when he's with his friends he loses that part of himself and just becomes one of the guys"
Alice: "I don't think it's two different people, I think he becomes what other people need him to be. If I'm honest I don't see a huge change, he is still the same person when he is around you, you just help him tap into the side of himself that is worthy of your attention" ((she responds)) "I think different people bring out alternative sides to your personality and it doesn't mean you're being fake, you are just being challenged by different people"
Josephine: "Can't believe you're on his side right now! And I can't believe that actually makes sense. I guess I'm a little different when I'm around him, like right now all I want to do is read Shakespeare or George Orwell, god even Dickens. Just so I can find a way of expressing my feelings in a way he will understand" ((she takes a breath)) "That's what he does you know? He uses other people's words to express himself because he can't use his own to express his feelings. 'Perhaps one did not want to be loved so much as to be understood' he quoted that and I froze, I mean what does that even mean?"
Alice: "Yeah, I see that! And honey, you reading? I don't think you've ever read anything that hasn't come in the form of a script but if that's what he said then start with 1984" ((she laughs at the idea of Josephine, reading a book))
