THE VOID

ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕥𝕪-𝕥𝕙𝕣𝕖𝕖

((Everyone stands frozen, the pounding getting louder. Charlie let's go of the handle and moves backwards. A man shouts "We know you're in there Jack"))

Jack: ((holds onto Mel tighter)) "How?" ((He whispers, his body riddled with terror))

Mel: ((can feel him trembling)) "It's okay" ((she tries to calm him by caressing his arm))

Alex: "What do we do?" ((He asks as everyone is still frozen))

Felix: ((looks over at the door)) "I guess we open the door and face what's coming?"

Charlie: "What's going on?" ((He asks confused and slightly worried))

Josephine: "Well" ((she starts but stops immediately)) "Where to start?" ((She asks herself))

Jack: ((pushes his fears away as the pounding gets more aggressive)) "You guys hide" ((he takes a deep breath)) "They only want me"

Mel: "No" ((she shouts a little too loudly)) "No fucking way" ((she looks around the room for help, but everyone is oddly silent)) "No" ((she adds beginning to cry, she turns to Alice))

Alice: ((takes in Mel's expression and her heart aches for her)) "Let me think" ((she offers))

((A few seconds pass and the door begins to loosen, they almost have it open))

Alex: "Any minute now, Alice" ((he panics))

Charlie: ((backs away and bumps into Alice)) "Sorry" ((he gulps))

Alice: ((mouths "it's okay" before looking back at the ground, and then something hits her)) "Charlie's here" ((she states))

Alex: "Really? Where?" ((He responds sarcastically, looking around))

((Everyone snickers before their situations hits them again and they tense up))

Alice: "Haha" ((she adds disappointed in him)) "Fire escape" ((she snaps and begins to walk, everyone following her)) "Two cars, one being a diversion" ((she nods having the plan all together))

((They each quietly follow Alice and take turns going down the fire escape))

Charlie: "Is anyone else confused?" ((He asks and everyone agrees))

Josephine: "You take Jack and the evidence, to the lawyers" ((she offers hoping she knows what Alice is thinking and Alice confirms))

Mel: "I'll go with Jack" ((she offers))

Felix: "Me too, make sure the evidence actually gets there" ((he adds, a clear dig at Jack))

Hero: "Go quickly before they see you" ((he shouts as they reach the bottom of the fire escape))

((They stand in front of their getaway car watching the others make their way to Charlie's))

Alex: "Yeah, go" ((he stands by Hero)) "We'll distract them" ((he directs at Jo and Alice trying to sound calm))

Josephine: "I'm coming with you" ((she says looking up at Hero))

Hero: "No, way" ((he looks down at Josephine annoyed)) "It's too dangerous" ((he adds))

Josephine: "I'm not leaving you" ((she commands))

Alice: "Then I'm coming with you's too" ((she adds jumping in the back of the car))
