THE VOID

ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕣𝕥𝕪-𝕤𝕚𝕩

                                    {Same Day - 9pm}

Alice: "You need to tell him" ((she whispers))

Josephine: "No" ((she checks to make sure they are alone)) "Everything is so happy" ((she sighs)) "I'm not ruining that"

Alice: "If you don't tell him, I will" ((she snaps)) "I'm sick of all of this, I can't focus at work" ((she closes the kitchen door)) "I love all those guys, but I miss my apartment. I miss being alone, we are together everyday" ((she takes a seat near Jo))

Josephine: "I know, I get that" ((she replies)) "I just can't talk to him about this" ((she pleads))

Alice: "That's so selfish" ((she's pissed)) "And you don't get it, because you haven't been here" ((her face covered in a frown)) "The sooner you tell him, the quicker we can fix this whole situation" ((she offers))

Josephine: ((knows she's right)) "Okay" ((she closes her eyes)) "How do I start that kind of conversation?" ((She asks)) "Hi Hero, by the way Alice and I think Jack is hiding something and that he knows more about what's going on" ((she mocks))

Alice: "I think that's fine" ((she jokes))

Josephine: "This isn't funny" ((she huffs)) "We are questioning one of his best friends" ((she drops her head))

Alice: "And brother" ((she adds))

Josephine: "No, no, no" ((She nods her head)) "Jack fine but I'm not mentioning Felix" ((panic floods her face)) "He will truly hate me then"

Alice: "He won't hate you" ((she gives Jo a sincere look)) "We went over what we were told 100 times and certain things didn't add up" ((she offers)) "We have every right to question it" ((she shrugs))

Josephine: "I know" ((she takes a deep breath before standing)) "Wish me luck" ((she takes one last look at Alice before leaving the kitchen))

((Josephine heads for her room where Hero is, she walks slower than usual. She knows she needs to talk to him about all the doubts she's having. She only told Alice about them because she knew Alice would be having the same thoughts about the situation))

Josephine: ((enters the bedroom)) "Hero" ((she says softly))

Hero: ((looks up at her, worry covering his face)) "What's wrong? Shit what did I do?" ((He asks))

Josephine: "You didn't do anything" ((she offers taking a seat on the bed))

Hero: "Who's upset you? Tell me" ((he demands, sliding closer to her)) "Josephine, tell me now" ((he adds))

Josephine: "Nobody has upset me" ((she responds)) "Honestly" ((she adds to convince him)) "I think I'm about to upset you though" ((she sighs))

Hero: ((his face twists a little in confusion)) "As long as you're not dumping me, nothing you do can upset me" ((he adds, comfortingly))

Josephine: "You promise?" ((She asks, needing further confirmation))

Hero: ((smiles, kissing her cheek)) "I promise" ((he adds))

Josephine: ((feels the anxiety begin to fade)) "I don't think Jack has told us the whole truth about everything" ((she blurts, regretting it immediately. She could have delivered that better))
