Konnor stands by the window overlooking the green grass and remains quiet thinking of how it used to be. He takes a long sigh thinking about Presley and twirls the ring on his finger staring out at the lawn as he whispers.

"I believed you, Mason, even when I knew you were an asshole"

he brings his hand up wiping his tears away as he thinks of Lewis, sam and his sister Miya and takes another deep breath but stops hearing Beck's voice.

"You okay?"

He keeps his back to her and nods his head lying.

"fine just a lot of memories here some really good ones and some fucking terrible ones. I got married in this house, ate dinner every night int his house, years of my life given up to Mason, to the estate-"

He quiets himself and Beck comes up behind him hugging hi from behind and whispers.

"it has been three years. it's okay to let them go, to move on Kon"

He moves away from Beck and shakes his head disagreeing.

"no, I can't till I know for sure I got this gut feeling that Mason at least is still out there-"

"well if he is he can go fuck himself we aren't giving this up none of it"

Konnor goes to say something but stops himself and just nods to beck.

"yeah"

A person walks in and nods to Konnor as he speaks firmly.

"someone's here he ays his name is Bishop from a place called TSH"

"TSH?" Konnor asks sounding worried and the man nods to Konnor.

"Yeah, he said you'd know him."

Konnor walks out the door followed by beck but he stops and motions to her.

"I can handle this."

"we agreed we share leadership here"

Konnor nods to her and they both walk into the room and Bishop stands there with his back against a wall eyeing over the two new leaders and keeps his posture firm as he nods to Konnor.

"I assume you know why I am here."

"can't say I do. last heard TSH was overrun by walkers." Konnor motions to the man and Bishops nods.

"well, the patriots seemed to want to lend us a hand we've been brought into the fold in exchange for resources."

Beck interrupts him sounding unsure.

"resources?"

"nothing to concern yourself with girl." Bishop nods to her not trusting the new girl and motions to Konnor.

"I am here to recommend the estate joins the patriots it would be in everyone's best interest"

"would it?" Konnor asks sounding annoyed by the man and Bishop keeps his back pressed to the wall as he assures Konnor.

"it would" Bishop nods staring the younger man down and Konnor shakes his head.

"This isn't Mason's estate anymore" Beck speaks from behind Konnor and Bishop shifts his eyes back to Konnor as he asks.

"is that what you believe too?"

"Mason may be dead" Konnor says confidently and Bishop keeps his posture firm as he speaks to the younger man.

"If he dies it will be grand and lots of walkers will be involved because it will take a lot of them to kill my nephew. he won't die by a human hand he has too much charism kid could always talk his way out of anything definitely would have gone into politics like his father-"

Bishop stops himself and thinks of his brother and shakes his head as he motiosn to Konnor.

"I have no doubt he is alive and he will come back home and Konnor you and i both know he won't lose. best to be on his side"

"We don't want anything to do with him or whatever he is plotting." Beck says firmly and Bishop ignores her staring down Konnor.

"it may be nice to want to do the right thing here but Konnor you're a smart man, you know the right thing is always the thing that keeps your alive"

"I don't even know if Mason is alive. I won't just hand over the estate to anyone if Mason is really alive then he can come here himself and ask me for it." 

Bishop nods his head staring down Konnor as he whispers to him.

"do you really want that? Mason back here at the estate. I have a feeling my nephew would be more than happy to have his new General run things here"

"General?" beck asks sounding unsure and Konnor stares down Bishop aas he nods to him.

"Beck doesn't understand how things use to work we had rules, a system nothing important was done here without the vote."

Konor remains quiet and bishop nods to him. Bishop takes out a small piece of paper and holds it out to Konnor.

"a man came to me and dropped this off never met him before he said I was to deliver it to you and not open it. for your eyes only Konnor."

Konnor takes the envelope and eyes the red sealed with an R and looks up to Bishop who motions down to it.

"R usually stands for Reid in my experience my brother use to do that write handwritten letters like we were living in the old days. I would always tease him saying he could have just emailed or texted me but who knew the world would go to shit and that letters would save my life. a week before it all went to shit the power went out no contact but a man showed up with a letter from my brother. it told me to come to the estate. three days before the world ended TSH was finished and the asylum was too. My brother built up the communities before the end so we had something after it"

Konnor opens the letter and reads it over in his head taking in the words but quickly closes it over as Beck asks sounding unsure.

"what does it say?"

Konnor places it into his jacket pocket and lies tot he woman.

"nothing, it is blank."

Bishop stares down Konnor and Konnor smirks and looks back to Beck but remains quiet as he thinks then lies again.

"guess he had nothing to say."

"guess not." Bishop smirks a bit knowing Konnor is lying and looks to Beck and nods to her as he states.

"I guess I should take my leave then long drive back to the asylum."

"I thought that was destroyed?"

Bishop looks over Beck as he asks her.

"fond memories of your old home beck?"

"fuck you." Beck says coldly and Bishop stops walking towards the door and asks her outright.

"your a survivor aren't you girl? who do you have to thank for that? Maybe it was the guy who saved your life when he could have kept driving, but he didn't, did he?"

Beck remains quiet and Bishop asks her outright.

"he never asked for a thank you did he?"

Bishop nods his head and motions to Konnor.

"I'm sure Mason will be here real soon after all everyone wants to return home eventually."
