I am an hourglass
You are a metronome
I fall down
You are out of control
It beats through me
The thought of you
Maybe not needing me
As much as I need you
Because I need you
You are a phantom
That I love talking to
Falling down is easy
When I'm already going down
At terminal velocity
And you are the one
Who pushed me
Your vibrations
And irregular beats
Beat through me
And I am chaotically
Living my life
For you to let me breathe
Sand wrapped in sand
Controlled by your violent
Hands of time
Are wrapped up
And moulded
Into circular pieces of metal
Close to me
But far away I see
You hurting yourself
Ends up hurting me
So stop beating
Far and wide
Cos I am close
And I will always
Spend the night
In your arms I find shelter
And also the dark of night
