Miss Lovato, my teacher

Chapter thirty

"Sam! Get your butt down here!" Demi yelled from downstairs.
I ran down.

"What?"

"I'm leaving now. You wanna come with me, or are you going alone?"

"Nah, I'm walking with Mike and Andrea, I think. And if not I'm going alone. I don't wanna be so early"

"Okay, just don't be late. You have English first period" Demi smiled.

"Yeah, yeah, just don't expect me to be any different in school then I used to be. I'm still the miss Johnson that doesn't pay attention" I smiled back.

"That's okay, as long as you don't disturb my lesson. Also I'll have to be miss Lovato, again, and no Demi"

"Got it"

"Good. See you soon" she said and left.

Today was Monday.
The two week vacation was amazing. Wilmer stayed till Wednesday and we made a lot of trips. Demi and Wilmer went out a lot, too. I think they're gonna get married again, real soon. They even talked about Wilmer moving in with Demi in the near future.

My parents were coming home today, so it was my last day at miss Lovato's.
I was happy, but kinda sad, at the same time. I was happy that my parents were gonna be back, but I was gonna miss being with Demi.
I could have such fun conversations with her, and Wilmer when he was here, and I was gonna miss that at home. Dad wasn't home a lot, and I can't have that kind of conversations with mom.
Demi was however still gonna come over, every so often, and I could visit her, too.
So, I would still have my Demi.

"Morning miss Johnson" Mike said, as we started walking to school.

"What the hell?"

"No, you're supposed to answer good morning mr. Reiss"

"Whatever. How was it with your dad?"

"It was fun. I stayed longer then I actually would've, cause we went camping. It was really fun. How was it at miss Lovato's?"

"It was really lots of fun. She's such a funny and nice person. Andrea also came over a few times"

"She did?"

"Yeah, we had lots of fun together"

"Where is Andrea, by the way?"

"She's not coming today. She texted me that she isn't feeling so well. I'm going there after school. Wanna join me?"

"Sure" he said.
We walked the rest of the way in silence.
We took our books out of our lockers and went to English. I smiled at Demi as I entered the class and she smiled back. I sat down at my desk and zoned out, as usual.

"Samantha, will you please come up here and repeat what I just said" Demi shook me out of my thoughts.
I smiled. I knew what she was doing.
I stood up and walked over to her.

"You did it as revenge, didn't you?" I asked her.

"Payback's a bitch" she smiled.

"Language, miss Lovato" I scolded.

"You're right. I'm sorry" she laughed.
The whole class looked at us confused. They had no idea what was going on, but we burst out laughing.

"Okay miss Johnson. Go ahead" Demi laughed.

"Come on, you know I have no idea what you were talking about" I said.

"That's what you get for not paying attention"

"What are you going to do with me now?"

"I think I'll have you stay after class and have a word with you"

"Fine by me" I said and went back to my seat.

"What the hell was that all about?" Mike asked.

"I pulled a prank on her, so this was payback. She just didn't do such a good job"

"What did you do?"

"I had this small box and put a spider in it. I know she's scared of spiders, so I put it in her bag right before she left for school. I guess she already saw it and wanted to do something back to me. She just didn't do such a good job" I said.

"Mike and Samantha, no talking in class!" Demi said and I went back to my thoughts.
