"We're moving" she finally said.

"You're what?" I almost screamed.

"Look, I'm really sorry and I'm sad and mad about it myself, but there's nothing I can do about it" she sounded like she was going to cry and I wanted to cry with her.

"I can't believe it. Where to? When? Why?"

"My grandma's sick and mom wants to be near her, since the doctors say she doesn't have much time left. We're leaving next week"

"Since when did you know this?"

"My parents finalized the decision yesterday"

"I can't believe it" I whispered.
I was at the edge of tears.

"I know. I got so mad at my parents, but I do get then. I mean, what if she dies and we're not there? I really don't wanna leave, though" she started crying. As soon as she started I started, too.

"Can you come over?" I asked.

"My mom won't let me out of the house. I have to feel all better, before I can get out. You can come over, though"

"Does Mike know?"

"No, I was gonna call him after I called you"

"Oh, I'm gonna ask my mom if I can come over, okay?"

"Sure. I'm waiting for you"

"See you soon" I cried and hung up the phone.
Why did this have to happen? I can't live without her.

After I calmed down a little I went downstairs.

"Mom, I'm going to Andrea's" I said.

"Sure, honey. But don't come back too late. Have you been crying?"

"Yeah"

"Why?"

"Andrea's moving"

"What? When?"

"Next week. Her grandma's sick, so her mom wants to be near her"

"Oh, that's sad. But don't worry, it'll all be okay"

"How can it be okay, if Andrea isn't here?" I cried.
Mom hugged me.

I saw Mike walking to Andrea, too. I waited for him and we walked together in silence. We both couldn't believe that she was actually leaving. We weren't complete without her.

That night I cried the whole night. I couldn't imagine my life without her.

"Sam honey, you have to get up for school" mom said. I looked at the clock and saw that I was already late. I had a huge headache from crying, so might as well stay home, right?

"I'm not feeling it" I said.

"Not feeling what?"

"Not feeling like going to school"

"Are you sick?"

"I'm sad and I have a headache"

"Did you sleep at all?"

"Not really"

"Okay, I'll let you stay home. Get some rest, sweetie" she said and left the room.
I texted Mike that I wasn't going to school and fell back asleep. I was woken up three hours later by my phone ringing.

"Hello?"

"Hi Sam, are you sick?" Mike asked.

"Hi Mike. Kinda, I have a huge headache and I'm really, really sad, so my mom let me stay"

"Miss Lovato asked for you"

"What did you say?"

"I said, that you weren't coming today. I'm really lonely here, without you and Andrea"

"So, go home"

"What am I supposed to do at home? I'm trying to get my mind off of Andrea leaving, if I'm gonna be home that's the only thing I'll be able to think about"

"Why don't you come over? We can plan something to give her as a goodbye present, or maybe a small party, just for us three"

"I like that. I'll be over soon"

"Okay, I'm waiting for you"
