"Sam, your mom's on the phone" Demi yelled from downstairs.
I ran down the stairs and got the phone out of her hands."Hey mom! How are you?"
"Hi honey. I'm good, you?"
"I'm great"
"How are you enjoying yourself?"
"It's really fun. I really like it. I miss you, though"
"Aw, I miss you, too. We'll be back before you know it. What have you been up to?"
"We went to this amusement park today. It wasn't really an amusement park, but it kind of was. I dunno. It was a weird place, but it was a lot of fun. We took a lot of pictures, so you can see it when you come back"
"Sounds like you're really having a lot of fun"
"I am. Where are you now?"
"We're in a hotel at the moment. Wanna talk to dad for a bit?"
"Yep"
"Hi Samantha. How are you?"
"I'm good, and you?"
"I'm great. This trip is looking like a success, so far"
"Well, I'm glad"
"Yeah, me too. I gotta go now, though. I have an important phone call to make. Sent my love to Sophia, okay?"
"Sure dad. I love you. Bye"
"I love you too, honey" he said and gave the phone back to mom.
That's what I always hated when they were gone. Our phone conversations were always so short."Is Sophia in bed?" she asked.
"Yeah. She still won't let Demi put her to bed, though"
"Yeah, she just needs her family around. Can I speak to Demi, sweetie?"
"Sure. Bye mom"
"Bye honey. I love you" she said and I handed Demi the phone back.
She started talking, but I went to the kitchen where Wilmer was sitting and sat down next to him."Good evening, sir" I said, with my best English accent.
He looked at me and started to laugh."It's not very polite to laugh at people in their faces, sir" I said.
"I'm sorry, miss" he said, "can I help you with anything?"
"No. In fact, I think I can help you, sir"
"Really? And with what, may I ask, can you help me, miss?"
"With planing a perfect way to ask your previous and future wife out on a date. Don't you think so, sir?"
"I think you are quite right, miss. I will gladly except anything you want to help me with"
"Are you sure about that, sir?"
"Of course, miss. Why wouldn't I be?"
"You see, sir. I can be quite bossy sometimes"
We both burst out laughing.
"You have a good English accent" he laughed.
"Yeah, I'm still working on it. You're not so bad yourself" I laughed, "anyway, back to business. I have a perfect plan"
"You do?"
"Yep. You're gonna take her out to a fancy restaurant not far from here"
"So, I'm just gonna kidnap her? Without even asking her?"
"No, you dumb fuck. You're gonna ask her to come with you"
"But how do I ask her to come with me?"
"Tomorrow, I'm gonna take the girls to the park and you're gonna tell her how you feel about her. Tell her you still love her and would like to give it a second shot. If she says yes, which I'm positive she will, you're gonna take her to this restaurant, I'll give you the address, it's really fancy. You'll have a nice dinner with her, don't worry about the time, I'll feed the girls dinner and bring them to bed. On your way back, you'll pass a jewelry shop, you go in and buy her a necklace that she likes, and you come back. Doesn't that sound good?"
"It sounds pretty good to me" he said.
"I'm very glad to be able to be of service, sir" I said, returning to my English accent.
"I'm very thankful for your advice, miss. It was very helpful"
"That's what I'm here for, sir, any time you need some advice"
"Thank you very much, miss. It is very much appreciated"
"What's up with you two?" Demi laughed, entering the kitchen, scaring the shit out if me. Again.
"Jesus Christ, you scared the shit out of me, again. Why the fuck can't you just announce your arrival and not scare me for once?!" I said.
"That's what you get for having secret conversations with my ex husband"
"Hey, I can date him if I want. He's single, isn't he?"
"He's way out if your zone, sweetie"
"You better watch your mouth. I can be a sneaky little witch, who can turn your life hell, in a matter of seconds, if you offend me" I warned.
"Oooh, you got me so scared" Demi joked.
"Hey, you better watch it. I'm being serious. You have a sneaky little witch in your house. I can be a zombie too, though, if you want me to. But I'd rather be a witch. I'm better at that. So, you better watch it, lady"
"You're so not making sense. What does a witch have to do with a zombie?" she laughed.
"Don't tell me I'm wrong, you little shit. If you do, you're gonna be sorry you ever invited me here" I threatened.
"Samantha Johnson, what the hell came over you?" Wilmer laughed.
"What the fuck was that?"
"What?"
"My full name? What are you? My father? My teacher?"
"No, I just wanted to get your attention before you turn her life into a hell hole and ruin my plans"
"What plans?" Demi asked.
"He's planning on poisoning you. And if it doesn't work, he'll probably just kill you in your sleep. You invited murders in your house. It's your own responsibility"
"Haha, very funny. Seriously, what plans?"
"Secret" I said.
Wilmer nodded."Ugh, you and your secrets. I'm going to bed. Oh, important rule for you two. No sex. And if you decide to disobey my orders, don't be too loud, I don't want the girls to wake up and I don't wanna hear it, either. And make sure to use protection. We don't want Sam pregnant, yet" she tried to keep a serious face, but totally failed.
"Eww Demi, that was just gross" I said.
Wilmer laughed."Girls" he muttered.
"Hey, I heard that" Demi and me said, at the same time.
We looked at each other and burst out laughing."Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired. Good night" Demi said.
"Yeah, me too. Good night. Sleep well" I said and went upstairs with Demi following close behind.
"Good night, my darlings" we heard Wilmer yell after us, "I love you both"
"Told you he did" I smiled at Demi.
"It's just a normal thing to say, Sam. It doesn't mean he actually means it"
"Yeah, we'll see about that" I smirked and went to my room, after giving her a hug and leaving her standing there confused.
