Chapter thirty three

"Mommy, lady talked to Sam again" Sierra said.
I didn't know she was so observant.

"What lady?" Demi asked.

"Same lady as last time"

"She did?"

"Yeah, but then we left"

Demi gave me a questioning look.

"She asked me if they were my sisters again, and I said she needed a good reason to wanna know. Apparently, she came to live here a short time ago, and she has two sons" I said.

"Did you ask her what she wants from you?"

"Yeah, but she didn't really answer. She just wanted to know if they're my sisters cause she's curious. I mean, come on. The least she could do, is come up with a better excuse"

"Dinner's ready" mom called. We all sat down and ate dinner.

I went up to my room and started doing my homework, when my phone rang.

"Hi Andrea, how are you feeling?" I asked her.

"I'm feeling a little better. Thank you for coming over earlier. I really enjoyed it"

"Always. Are you coming to school tomorrow?"

"I'm not sure yet. I have to see how I feel in the morning. Anyway, I called to tell you something"

"Okay, what?"

"But you have to promise me not to get mad"

"It depends in what you're going to say" I chuckled.

"Look, I'm already telling you, it was not my choice, so please forgive me"

"You know, you're making me really scared"

"I'm sorry, it's just hard for me to tell you. God, it's even hard for me to believe it"

"Will you just tell me already?"

"Just don't get mad"

"I'll try"

She was silent for a few minutes.

"Andrea, you still there?"

"Yeah, I am"

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm just nervous about what you're reaction is gonna be"

"You'll know once you tell me"

"I know"

"So, tell me"

I heard her take a deep breath, before she spoke again.
