The meeting with Marissa went pretty well.
I wasn't even there the whole time, but Demi looked very happy to see her.
They were now in our living room, talking with my mom, after catching up on the years they missed.
I was upstairs in my room.

"Sam, honey, come down a minute, please" Demi yelled.

"What are you? My mom?"

"Just come down" she demanded.
I walked down the stairs and heard them talking.

"She's a real teenager, isn't she?" Marissa asked.

"No! Shes nothing like a real teenager" Demi said.

"I can't answer that, cause she's my first teenager. For me this is normal, but compared to stories I've heard, she's nothing like that" mom said.

"In a good way?" Marissa asked.

"Yeah, a very good way" Demi said, "She has that rebellious side in her, but she knows when and to whom to use it. She's really a very special girl. You just have to get to know her. What's taking her so long anyway? Sam, you planing on coming down anytime soon?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming" I said and entered the living room.

"Would you mind going to my house and tell Wilmer to come here with the kids?" Demi asked.

"What am I? Your slave?" I joked, "Why can't you just call him?"

"He's phone's off"

"Okay, be back in a few" I said and left.

"Hi Sam. How are you doing?" Wilmer asked.

"I'm good. You?"

"Me too" he smiled.

"Great, now you have to come to ours" I said.

"Why?"

"Demi's there with Marissa"

"Marissa?"

"Yep"

"Where did she all of a sudden come from?"

"She was the weird lady at the park"

"Oh, she lives here?"

"Yep, across from our house"

"Oh, wow. That's amazing"

"I know, now let's go" I said.

"Hi Samantha, how was your day?" dad asked when we entered the house.

"Dad, I didn't know you were home"

"Well, I am. Hello Wilmer, how are you doing?"

"I'm great, thank you. How are you?"

"I'm good. So, you staying for dinner?"

"I have no idea. That's something you'll have to ask the ladies" Wilmer smiled.

"Yeah, they're staying, and so is Marissa" mom said.

"I am?"

"Yeah, you are"

"But I still have two boys and a husband to feed"

"Bring them here" mom said.

"What are their names?" Wilmer asked.

"My husband's Ryan. My sons are Chris and Phil" she said.

"I'll go get them" I suggested.

"But they don't know you"

"So, they'll get to know me. Now stop complaining, mom is a great cook" I said.
She smiled.

"Okay, go get them" she said.
I got her husband and sons and we had dinner. Everyone got to know each other a little and I really liked Marissa's family. They were sweet.

"You still have to explain to me how you know Sam doesn't pay attention in class" Marissa, all of a sudden, said.

"Oh, yeah. About that. I'm her teacher" Demi laughed.

"You're her teacher? Are you serious? Since when do teacher and students go to each others houses?"

"Since we once met at the park and the little girls liked each other" I said, in a duh tone.

"It's not so duh, Sam. You didn't even like it" Demi said.

"I know but now I do. Don't bring up the past, when it's unnecessary"

"You know, Demi. I honestly don't know what you've been doing to my girl, but she's been a lot ruder then she was before she got to know you" dad joked.

"It's called sarcasm, dad. You just don't have a good sense of humor. Oh, and, by the way, if you only knew"

"If I only knew what?"

"If you only knew, dad" I repeated.

"What are you talking about?"

"She's talking about her rudeness, William. I guess that's something she never told you. She's just such a good daughter, that she shows her dad only the good side of her. But boy, can she be rude. I won't even repeat my first real conversation with her" Demi laughed.

"He wasn't supposed to know that, you idiot" I gave her a disapproving look.

"You guys are so weird" Marissa laughed.

"I know. It's a gift. Or talent. However you wanna call it. You just gotta hang out with me long enough and you'll get the hang of it"

"Hasn't changed a bit" Wilmer chuckled.

"What?" I asked.

"You give everyone the same first impression of you, Sam. Why don't you give them the real you?" he asked.

"This is the real me"

"I know, but that other they side of you. The side your parents know. The side your teacher will never know, unless they're Demi, of course. The side that shows, not only your good sense of humor and your sarcastic weird mind, but also the good girl in you. The one that cares about your family and friends. The one that wants everyone to be happy. The one that mends broken things. The one that can light up the whole world?"

"Look at that. That's my girl" dad smiled.

"What? Where did that all come from? Why do you even observe me like that?"

"Sam, no one has to observe you. Someone just has to know you long enough and the amazing side of you will come up right away" mom smiled.

"You're all so cheesy right now. I'm really not in the mood of the shit. Just let me enjoy being sarcastic" I complained.
Everyone started laughed.

"Now, that's my Sam" Demi laughed, "That is my Sam. Wow"

"I must say, I'm very amused. You're very good entertainers" Ryan laughed.

"I would've said free of charge, but I'm broke. So, five dollars an hour" I stuck out my hand for him to put money in it.

"You're so amazing. I absolutely love you" Demi laughed.

"I know. I love me, too" I replied sweetly, making everyone laugh again.
