AUTHOR-SAMA POV:
After feeding the pups, Hayami played with them for a little bit before going to the garden.
Hayami laid on the grass and looked up into the sky. 'I wonder if I'll still get killed when the story begins... I don't wanna leave this life... I really love my family here... I don't wanna be alone again....'
Flashback:
"Mommy? Where are we going?" 4 year old Mikasa asked the older woman that was holding her hand. "W-we're going to a fun place!" Her mother answered with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"Ok!"
After walking for a couple more minutes, the mother-daughter pair arrived at the amusement park.
"Wow! Are we gonna play here!" Little Mikasa asked. "Y-Yeah... Are you ready to play?" Her mother asked looking down to her with a small smile.
After playing around for a few hour, little Mikasa and her mother sat down on a bench.
"Mimi, s-sit here alright? Mommy's gonna go buy you some ice cream." Her mother said to her and kissed her forehead.
"I love very very much Mimi. Remember that, ok?" Her mother said with teary eyes. 4 year old Mikasa thought nothing of it. "Ok! I love you too mommy!" Mikasa said back.
Her mother quickly walked away as tears started to roll down her face.
'I'm sorry my little angel... I-I have to leave you behind...'
Mikasa sat on the bench and waited for her mother to come back. She waited, and waited, but her mother never came back...
The person closing the park found Mikasa and brought her to a orphanage. And there Mikasa lived for 9 years.
When Mikasa was 13 she was adopted and lived with her foster family for a year before she moved out.
Her foster family never really loved her. Yeah, they cared for her and all, but they never really truly loved her.
Mikasa's foster parents immediately bought her a small apartment when Mikasa wanted to live alone and just sent her money every month for her to use. Other then that, they just left her on her own.
The two reason they adopted Mikasa was because, 1. They can get money from the government, and 2. Mikasa was very smart and got them fame at all the award shows Mikasa went to and got trophies from.
Mikasa was also alone at school too, she was the youngest since she skipped a lot of grades and never got along with her classmates.
Everyone also judged her, Mikasa didn't know why...
On the day of her 15th birthday, Mikasa decided to treat herself and go to a small cafe near her apartment.
When she walked in, the first thing that caught her eyes was a family of three sitting by the window in the cafe.
The thing that caught her eyes weren't their happy smiles, but the familiar face.
Her mother, the same one that abandoned her 11 years ago was now sitting with HER new daughter and laughing away as if she had never threw away her own blood related child.
Mikasa's eyes widen as her and her mother's eyes met. "M-Mimi..." Her mother gasped standing up. Mikasa couldn't take it, she ran right out of the cafe as her, no. She not her mother anymore... As the woman ran to the door...
"*Gasp!*" Hayami bolted up from the grass panting hard. 'O-oh... that was just a dream...' Hayami thought quietly to herself.
"Hm, it's dark already... I should probably go inside now..." Hayami said to herself and got up.
As Hayami arrived at the garden door, she saw every one of the servants and guards running around, yelling her name.
'A-ah... I guess I forgot to tell them where I was...' Hayami sweat dropped and walked up to the door.
"GASP! Miss.Hayami! You're safe!" A maid exclaimed spotting Hayami. "Oh dear lord! We must bring you to Lord and Lady Yotamaki!" The Maid quickly said before picking her up and going inside.
The maid ran as fast as she could into the living room. "LADY YOTAMAKI! I FOUND MISS.HAYAMI!" The maid exclaimed, holding up Hayami.
Also because of this, Hayami got a good look of what was happening in the living room.
Her father was bawling his eyes out. Her mother was also, but not as hard. Her oldest brother, Ichiro was screaming at guards to look harder. Her second brother, Kosuke was freaking out about where the heck you could be. Her youngest brother, Saburo was sitting in the corner of the room, sulking silently by himself. And last of all her puppies were sitting the in the corner of the room-.
Wait! Her puppies got out of your closet! Uh oh... now they all know about her puppies...
But before Hayami could come up with an excuse, her parents took Hayami out of the maids and hugged her while they cried. Soon her brothers also joined in and started crying...
After them crying for way too long the stopped. Hayami told her parents she fell asleep in the garden as a coverup since she didn't want her parents to know her secret hiding spot.
Then she explained the puppies and used her watery eyes trick and made her parents agree on keeping them.
After that 'eventful day' Hayami took a bath and fell asleep again...
Bonus:
The guards that were supposed to guard our little Hayami got punished for not watching over her (they were still arguing about the puppies) and for not telling Lord Yotamaki about the two creatures in Hayami's room.
"See! This is all you guys' fault! Now we have to go through 'Extreme Training 101' again!" Guard #3 yelled as they were fighting 10 dragons at once.
"Hmph, don't even try to blame it one me! I told you guys to report it to Lord Yotamaki But you guys wouldn't listen!" Guard #4 yelled back as he cuts off two dragons' heads.
"Well at least Lady Hayami is happy! I would trade my own head for that smile!" Guard #2 exclaimed cutting down another dragon.
"Yeah! At least she's happy!" Guard #1 agreed, as two dragons dropped down to the floor.
"Even though Lady Hayami is adorable, we have to focus on our task!" Guard #4 yelled.
The guards continued to argue as the dragons just laid down on the floor.
'Excuse me! But we're supposed to be scary mystical creatures that you're supposed to fear! Can't you just pretend you're scared!' The dragons thought, laying in the pool of tears.
