Ashton (Age 17):
"Is he here yet?" You ask your Mom as she walks into the high school building.
You were graduating today, and Ashton promised he would be here, he said that all of the boys had gotten this week off and were coming, but he wasn't here yet. He was supposed to be here three hours ago.
Your mom had a sad look on her face, "He'll be here, I promise, Y/N."
You sigh, taking a deep breath. Graduation started in an hour, but you had to be inside in the next few minutes. "Okay, well, I'll meet you after before I go to the party." You reply.
She nods, and you walk back to the choir room where all of the seniors stood, just praying he'd show up in time.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the class of 2014!" Your principal exclaimed loudly gesturing at everyone who stood up, throwing their caps and screaming, crying, and cheering.
You turned to the girl next to you, not caring that you barely knew her, and you two hugged each other as you jumped up and down.
Forty five minutes later, after hugging tons of people, you found your Mom and the rest of your family, including Lauren and Harry standing waiting for you.
You gave Harry a hug, "That was long, and boring!" He complains, and you laugh.
You turn to your Mom, who just shakes her head. You take a shaky breath in, and nodded, "I'm gonna head out to my car," You say looking at the rest of the seniors who were filing out of the building, heading to the rec center for senior night, and she nodded.
"We'll see you tomorrow, congrats," She says, handing you the stuff she had gotten and you grin before walking out to your car.
You pick your phone up off the passenger seat, and dialed Ash's number, not noticing the six missed calls from him, "Y/N! Thank God you picked up--"
"You missed it," You said shaking your head, "The biggest night of my life and you missed it."
"You don't understand we had to do a last minute perform--"
You scoff, "Of course you did, but that's cool because the band means a lot more to you than I do, right? That's cool. I'll see you whenever you get here--if you get here."
And you hung up, driving to the rec center, wanting to forget about everything and just have fun tonight. You'd deal with it later.
Luke (Age 16):
"Happy birthday, Y/N!" You heard over and over again throughout the day.
It was finally your sixteenth birthday, and you had been planning your party with your best friend for about a year and a half and it was finally happening. You and your friend were at your house getting ready, before heading to the place your mom's rented out for you two.
"Is he here yet?" You ask your Mom as you fixed your hair in the mirror, sliding on your shoes.
"Not yet, their plane is delayed, but he said he'd be here in time. You two ready?" She asks you.
You take a deep breath, looking up into the sky, and begging that he'd be here for you. He said he would, he had been telling you for the past month that he'd be there for your sixteenth birthday.
And you could only hope.
Later that night, at the party, before you and your friend had to get up and give your 'birthday speeches' you found your mom sitting at a table with your friend's family.
"Is he--"
She looks up sadly, "His plane just landed, he won't be here for another hour or two."
