Ashton (Age 14): OCD
You don't know how, or when it started--you believe you were born with it--but you had OCD. Not major, as in you wanted to lock yourself in the bathroom to keep yourself away from all contamination--but enough that you always have hand sanitizer with you, and you hate touching and if you touch something, you instantly touch it with the other hand to make it feel even--then you wash your hands right after, too.
Ashton knew you had OCD, obviously, but he was always worrying about you. His biggest fear was that while he was on tour, you would snap and the world around you would become so much and the anxiety would take over your life.
That's why he took the initiative to take you to the doctor, and get you OCD medicine because even though your Mom said you were fine, Ashton knew you weren't.
You went along with it only wanting to make Ashton happy, as long as you didn't have to touch anything or anyone. The doctor diagnosed you with OCD, and gave you some medication. You had been taking the same medicine since then, only bumping up the dosage every now and then.
It helped, a lot, actually. And you were really grateful that Ashton noticed something was wrong, even when everyone brushed it off as 'a little OCD', because it wasn't something to be brushed off like that.
Luke (Age 13): ADHD
There was so much testing that went in to finding out if you did in fact have ADHD, your mom never really finished it. When Luke found out he was worried beyond compare, and scared for you.
He knew that with ADHD you could become very sensitive, you had before, and when people teased you about having it, it hurt.
So when Luke got back from tour, he took you to the doctors and finished the testing. They diagnosed you with ADHD, and you got the medication you needed so badly.
You were beyond happy, after that. You were still the bright, bubbly person you had always been, but thanks to Luke, you could focus on something for more than ten minutes at once.
Calum (Age 16): Anxiety
Not many people understand that anxiety comes in a lot of different forms and extremities. You had social anxiety, which caused you to have panic attacks when put in uncomfortable social situations, like talking to unfamiliar people.
Calum first noticed it when you cried your first day of middle school, not once, not twice, but seven different times. Yes, all in the same day.
When that happened, he instantly knew something was wrong, and took you to the doctor. They said you did in fact have social anxiety, and that starting therapy would be the best thing for you.
Of course, with it being social anxiety, you made Cal and/or your Mom come with you the first few times. Finally, you could tell therapy was really helping. You were very outgoing and happier now, without the irrational fear of being rejected.
Michael (Age 15): Schizophrenia
You had very mild schizophrenia. It wasn't bad as in voices telling you to murder others, but there was the voices and the scared the shit out of you. You first noticed it when you were about ten and the voices started to tell you what to do. You thought it was just your mind not anything serious.
It first became serious, the first time Michael noticed. You were curled up in a ball on your bedroom floor, sobbing, because the voices were telling you that you were worthless and meaningless.
Upon hearing you complain about the voices, Michael instantly took you in to the doctors. They gave him the answers, and you got therapy and pills.
The voices tried to convince you not to take them, and sometimes you almost don't. But then you remember how scared Michael looked, and took them. Michael meant more to you, and just the thought of him was more persuasive than any voice.
Sorry about any inconsistent lengths. Also, I don't know a ton about schizophrenia, bit the others I did. I'm sorry if mikeys was off ily
