Part 1 Epilogue
“She’s finally gone,” Mason muttered as he paced around the room. We had just returned from “paying our respects to our late friend Valerie” and finished reporting to the Council. They praised us for being respectful despite the treacherous act Valerie had committed against us and sent us on our way.
“So when do we start the next part of our plan?” I asked. Everyone turned to face me. I had been silent the whole day, which was definitely not like me. That was Karel’s thing, and I had no idea how he was always so silent.
“Patience Grace. We can’t rush things yet. We have all the time in the world. The rogues are all in position. One word from Him and everything will be done in a matter of weeks.” Evan looked like he was going to say something when I suddenly developed a splitting headache.
The next part of the plan begins in five days. The attack starts at dawn. Do not disappoint me.
“Yes sir,” everyone said. I smiled as the headache subsided. Now the fun was about to begin.
Sorry for the short chapter and wait. I will hopefully have the next chapter up sometime this week.
