Chapter Two

Marissa's P.O.V

Yup...Trouble... A group of brown wolves had them surrounded. They were baring their teeth. 

"Stand down!" Britney ordered. This we all did. She began walking to the front of us. It was intimidating. We all stood behind her still but ready to attack. She was our charge as well. She began to growl. A human appeared from behind the trees. 

"Stand down. We are the smaller pack from these parts. Boys, this is the new pack I was telling you about. The Dalton pack.": Their head snapped from the human form to look at us. Naturally they bowed. "We will formally meet them at tomorrow's howl. You will attend won't you?" He finished, while looking at Britney. He must have had a high position because alphas could mind link high ranked members of other packs. Britney growled and looked away. "Back to the house!!!! NOW!" she ordered. As fast as we got there we ran back. The parents left clothes out for us. We took them with our teeth gently and went behind the trees to shift back. After shifting into our human forms and changing into our clothes we went inside the house. When the smell of the food hit us mouths simultaneously began to water. 

The spread was amazing I must say; Baked chicken, mashed potatoes, fries, rice and salad. Girls and guys alike had huge appetites. In a matter of thirty minutes all the food had disappeared but we were still hungry so we all piled into the land rovers and headed to Wendy's. All 8 of us. Cameron, Nash and Dylan went to get our food while we girls just relaxed in a booth. When some familiar scents hit us. The wolves from earlier. I wondered if we'd be in trouble. Sure, we were supposedly close to royalty amongst the wolves but this was not our territiory even if we did have a pact with the pack to allow some of our members to stay here. The boys waltzed up to our table. 

"We haven't exactly met yet and they began introducing themselves. We're mostly the son's of gammas. Except for me I'm a Beta's descendent; Duncan" and he left his hand outstretched. Then the boys began rattling their names; John, Zack, James, Trevor, Kian and Sam. Before Britney could shake his hand Cameron, Nash and Dylan stood before us. "You can meet us formally tomorrow but for now all you need to know is we are Cameron, Nash and Dylan. The girls are Marissa, Britney, Cristal, Regina, Yasmin and Courtney. Oh yeah and three of them are accounted for." 

I chuckled and John, I believe it was looked at me. But my dear friends had to be very protective and blocked them. "Well we just wanted to get something to eat. Not start a war.......so catch you guys laterrrrrrrrrrr"  Sam went on till Kian pulled him away. 

We glared at them. They mind linked us telling us how sorry they were but they have to be like that since they are our 'protectors'. Britney laughed while saying " who died and made them God." After eating we went home. While in the parking lot I got an unfamiliar scent. My wolf was going crazy. I couldn't tell where the scent was coming from so I just brushed it off.

Christian's P.O.V

I stood in the window of the Wendy's outlet. I was staring at the most beautiful girl in the world. She had long red brown hair and brown eyes I could get lost in. I couldn't let her see me. I didn't want to met her yet. I wanted to meet her tomorrow at the midnight howl. That would be better. Instead of our usual howl it was going to be more formal to welcome the children of the Dalton pack. It would be a grand celebration. It would be the perfect time to meet my mate. How could she not love me?
