I fell for the Hybrid.

Chapter Thirteen

Britney's P.O.V

"Really Adam. You're fucking her right here?" God he knew we were coming. That wasn't what shocked me. 

"Hey little sis. This is Claire my mate."

"Sorry, I didn't want to meet you like this." she managed a smile and put her hand forth. 

"I'm not touching your hand. You were just fucking my brother." I walked past them. "Get dressed. Don't forget why I am here. I don't have much time to waste."

"C'mon Claire let's go get changed."

"OH she's not going. Pack business ok. Top secret."

"She is my mate and she's going to be the future Luna she has every right." my brother growled at me stepping forward. 

"You do realize your dick is hanging in plain sight and another thing I don't care if she's the fucking Luna. I AM AN ALPHA. WHAT I SAY GOES WHERE MY COUNCIL IS CONCERNED AND DON'T YOU DARE FUCKING FORGET IT." I walked away from my brother and went back to the lobby. It was very rude of me to speak like that to my brother but we were equals. I picked up my phone to check in with those back home. 

"Hellllllooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brit"

"Hey Yas. Sorry your parents had to leave but it was necessary. How are things?"

"Fine actually. And don't worry about it. They have their duties which I understand. I have to go thing is there is gonna be a huge party when you guys return. We are allowing the humans to come too. It should be something. "

"Ok I will see you soon" 

Some small talk and pacing after my brother finally graced us with his presence and his mate's. She wasn't going however. Thank God. I didn't trust her after what I realized what she was. It's not that I had a thing against her kind. I just didn't trust her. And no she wasn't a vampire.

To get to the library we'd have to take a train. Apparently it was some kind of secret library only known to werewolves. Why go to a library? Well we had to find out out hybrids. What can they do? What were they exactly? Anything we could. It would help in case Marissa and Christian got found out. For now the plan was to wait and keep it secret until the current council retired. Not a very brave plan but sometimes it's best no to start something you couldn't finish. 

We combed through the old files for hours not learning much. Young hybrid children had laid waste to entire villages in the past. They were unpredictable at young ages. The fact that Christian and Crawford were so controlled and well behaved indicated that they were from a strong bloodline. The stronger the bloodline the more controlled the hybrid which I thought was weird. With wolves the stronger the bloodline the more aggressive and stubborn the wolf. Maybe it was the vampire part in them which was responsible. They could turn into a wolf with a mark on one of their eyes like a birth mark to identify them. 

Then we found a file dating back god knows how long. It was about a vampire-werewolf couple. The vampire woman, Elizabeth and the werewolf man Ivan, well, they were mates. It was strictly forbidden at that time, so they ran away. They 'marked' each other and mated having twin sons by the names of Andrew and Benjamin. Things were fine until one day Andrew had a fit killing half a village. This brought attention to them. The vampire council became involved killing the traitor and her mate. A vampire killing a werewolf was against all laws unless it was approved by the werewolf council aka the Dalton pack. This caused a war. Andrew was killed but Benjamin. He was never found. The possibilities of him being alive were high. Hybrids didn't age much. Eventually we were all tired and left. My mind was riddled with assumptions and I was hungry. We sat in Nando's. We ordered salads, chicken and all types of platters. 

"So who's gonna talk????" Regina spoke.

"Here is what I think?" 

"OH Courtney you had time to think? You and Duncan made out for most of the time." 

"Britney, Regina, Shut up. I think we should track Benjamin down. No solid evidence but word is he had children with vampires and werewolves alike." 

"That is gonna be pretty tough. Are you sure?"

"I have one even better. Let us find a werewolf-hybrid couple. There has got to be some record about it in dad's office. A few years back someone came to the council and claimed there was one hiding out in the Amazon. I'm going to call trackers etc. And I'll keep it on the downlow. Don't worry" 

Well thanks Adam. He was going to take us all the way to the Amazon. We were gonna disappear from the freaking earth until we returned to Waterfall Heights for the party or whatever they were going to have.
