I fell for the Hybrid.

Chapter Four

We certainly did not sit in silence for the ride. We jammed to Iggy's Fancy because damn we were looking good. When listening to music time flies and we came up to a clearing. Great. I'm sure you can guess what happened next. We had to foot the rest of the way. How nice. Thank the Lord and heavens we were in ballet flats. Now, our dresses.To keep a look of unity they were the same design but different colours. They were simple dress with a rounded neck and a band around the waist and the skirt just float down till our knees. Certainly not the worst thing they have made us wear. The guys were dressed simply in dark blue shirts and black jeans all of which fitted perfectly. The older folks told us that it wasn't that far a walk; maybe ten minutes. We couldn't run in our dresses. That would not be lady like. Instead Regina, Yasmin and Cristal hopped on their mates' backs while Britney, Courtney and I hopped on three of the warrior wolves backs. Because why walk? I didn't really look at the scenery on the way there. Instead we were talking on our mind link wondering about what the pack would be like.

When we got there we were greeted by a middle aged couple. "Welcome to our monthly howl" they said. One could tell when alphas or lunas were addressing them. Britney looked them straight in the eye and nodded saying thank you while extending her hand out showing off a smile. They told us to wait there and guess who we saw. Yup. We saw the wolves that had met us previously. We didn't have time to pay attention to them. We were about to meet the pack.

"Good evening fellow pack members. I, Alpha George, along with the Luna, Stephanie, are pleased to introduce to you the next representatives of the Dalton pack. They consist of Alpha Britney along with her Betas and Gammas. Please come stand here" He said motioning to us. We all took deep breaths as we were about to meet the residing pack.

"Just smile and wave people smile and wave" Courtney's voice went off in our heads.

"Thank you Queen Courtney! What would we do without your leadership?!?!" I retorted.

We moved gracefully to where George and Stephanie were standing and Britney began to speak.

"Thank you Alpha and Luna for kind and warming welcome. We the future representatives of the Dalton pack are pleased to be here. Thank you for the invitation to this magnificent ritual. We extend our gratitude. Since we have been here not one person has treated us rudely. We feel right at home here. We look forward to working with you. Additionally, on behalf of the council we wish to thank you for opening up your territory to our members. We know that they will serve well." she finished and the pack started to cheer and whistle. We could even hear some of their murmurs, on how young we looked or 'gorgeous'.

"We are pleased to have you here. We, The Mystics, will do everything in our power so you can grow well in all aspects possible." The Luna said. With that the Alpha dismissed the pack to begin the celebration. It was grand. Wolves stood at the top of the waterfall howling in harmony. There were tables filled with food, laughter and cheer. It was heart warming. Britney dismissed us so that she could go talk to the council of this pack. What about? I really didn't care. Everyone had disappeared. I saw Courtney being surrounded by what had to be really hot guys. She loved the attention but I was hungry. I walked over to her, linked her arm and made my way over to a table so that we would eat.

"Well thank you! You're always so sour! Just ruined my chances." she said while sitting down.

"Firstly, I didn't. I've created mystery. Secondly, you're welcome." I said while smiling at the woman who set plates filled with food for us to eat.

"I'm not gonna thank you..." she looked as though she could rip my throat out.

"You ate last time I did. I'm sure you're starved you idiot" she sighed and looked at me while picking the fork up.

"Yeah. OK. Whatever. For the record I was feasting my eyes on that man candy. Who knows someone here night turn out to be your mate. Or mines."

I shrugged my shoulders. Who knows? Who cares? And just then the same scent hit me.

Ok. I don't edit my work so please bear with the errors. Another thing I have to clear up is that since it is a huge pack all the members are not situated in one area. They are scattered. So that's why there are so many Betas. Gammas train warrior wolves. So the hierarchy goes Alpha + Luna, Beta, Gamma then warrior wolf. Finally Omegas. But in the Mystic pack since they aren't a huge pack they have only one Beta. Any more questions??
