Epilogue

Marissa's POV

I stood there bouquet in hand. My hands were sweating so much. I could hardly contain myself. My makeup was already touched up quite a few times. I took many deep breaths but it didn't seem to quite calm my anxiety. 

My friends and their mates walked out. Since, my parents had died in the attack a few years back there was no one to walk me down the aisle. 

"Can't let my best friend walk down the aisle alone now can we?" I spun around and there stood Britney in a tuxedo.

       "Um are you trying to tell me something? Are you going through some kind of.."

"I don't have a mate remember? And I'm very much straight. So I'm gonna walk you down this fucking aisle. Your parents would be so proud of you."

     "God you sound old."

"Yeah I need some sex too."

     "I don't need those details."

I linked my arm with hers and began walking when the music began playing. I swear I saw Chris wipe a stray tear. The day was shaping up so nicely. My dress had a sweetheart neckline and was synched at the waist with a sparkling belt. It just fell after. My bridesmaids were dressed in light pink with somewhat of a sweetheart neckline and a line skirts that stopped right above their knees. The wedding ceremony was held in a church. Different shades of red and pink roses along with candles lined the aisle. Chris looked amazing in his suit.He stood there looking as perfect as ever. 

I took my place beside him and the priest began.

"We have gathered here today to join this hybrid and this werewolf in holy matrimony. If anyone believes that these two should not be wed then let him speak now or forever hold thy's peace." 

    "I DO!" shouted Dylan, "RUN NOW CHRIS BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH HER FOREVER. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE." and it was at that point in time Cristal struck him with her bouquet. The audience chuckled at his outburst.

"If that is all, the couple has written their own vows." the priest ended.

"Right, I'll go first." Chris began, " When I first saw you, my entire body went numb and my heart leapt for joy. You gave me quite a run but eventually you fell for me. I'll follow you to the ends of the earth. My heart belongs to you only. I loved you yesterday. I love you today. I will love you tomorrow. No matter what I will stand by you. For you are my one and only. You are my mate and with this ring I wed thee."

A tear slid down my cheek.

"Wow, there is no way I can top that but I can certainly try. I didn't think we could be together at first but you were so determined to make me yours. Your smile warms my heart and your lip bite makes my brain go dead. I will always love you. No matter what I too vow to stand by you till my very last breath. I'd be a shell of a person without you. Chris, you complete me and with this ring, I take you to be my husband, my friend, my companion. I love you."

    " You may now kiss the bride."

Chris leaned in to kiss me but not before reminding me of how perfect I was.
