Chapter Twenty Two

Marissa's POV

There stood Chace with a very half naked Amy. I could feel the power surge through Britney's veins. That's when she lunged at Chace. Never mess with Alphas who have powerful lineages. Within a split second Amy was about to split. Oh no. She was't getting away from me this time. I grabbed her by the hair and held her there. She tried her best to fight me off but now I was mated. My wolf was strong and this slut tried to get my mate.

There could only be one way to stop her. I released her. Stupid move right?

Nope. With so many of us around there was no way she'd escape. Cristal blocked her and I jumped at her. She threw some very poor punches. I blocked them all effectively but this was frustrating. I am a Beta after all. Time to prove that I deserved to be lead Beta. I grabbed her left arm and snap. It broke. I didn't give her enough time to phase. I seized the moment and snapped her neck. She lay on the floor lifeless.

"That's why you don't try to fuck someone else's mate!" I screamed at the corpse.

I turned my attention back to the more pressing matter at hand.

"You look like shit." I said truthfully to Britney. Her hair was disheveled. She had a bruises about her body.

"Yeah but I won."she looked down at her feet, "I thought your mate wasn't supposed to hurt you..even if you did deny him."She sighed and then looked at me, "Well well. Look at who wants to be top Beta. You just might give me a run for my money."

"Whatever. Where is your charming Chace?"

"Infirmary. Duncan, go gather your council. I demand a meeting NOW! I just got a text from the other Alphas. They are gonna be here earlier than expected. Marissa, sedate Courtney. Get some omegas to pack her stuff. She's going back home...."Britney continued to bark orders whilst I left to go sedate Courtney.

I linked my arm with Chris and took him with me.

"So I never want to piss you off, love"

"Haha. I bet."

"What do you think about this whole situation?"

"I don't have the entire story yet but this shit is crazy."

"It is. I'm just happy I found you."

"Could you guys get any cornier?"

"No." We answered in unison.

We put her to rest. No we didn't kill her.

S-E-D-A-T-I-V-E-S

So now we were all in the meeting room: Alphas, Betas, Gammas and elders. Britney stood in front of the assembly and began.

"I call this meeting to order. I, Alpha Britney, has taken control of the Mystics by overthrowing my intended mate, Alpha Chace. He is unfit and Beta Duncan will assume command after my term. Recently, the number of hybrids has been on the rise. I know a hybrid or two and they are not bad individuals but there is a war coming. What I am about to say is confidential. Word has not spread yet but if and when it does there will be pandemonium. An attack was put on the Top Wolf Pack while there were on the move between territories. So far, I don't know if my pare..The Top Alphas and council are alive. The threat is coming here next. In fact, here is where it all started.

I introduce to you Alphas Stephen, Blake, Scott, Drew and Josh. They are friends to this pack. We will be combining forces to neutralize the threat. I understand this a lot to take in. I already have a plan. I didn't discuss this yet with my council. All questions will be taken at the end. All women, children, elders and injured will not fight. For a Gamma to fight he must have a successor if he has a family. For younger Gammas it is a choice. We will run a tight shift. No one crosses the borders. Each run will have one high ranking member. This is war."

She looked at us for moral support.

An elder rose to speak but before he could open his mouth the window shattered. My jaw dropped to the ground. This was not good.
