I fell for the Hybrid.

Chapter Three

Marissa's POV

Before I knew it, it was Saturday morning. I don't know if it was wolf thing or not but by 7 o'clock I was wide awake just staring into space. I wasn't even sure how I was feeling. Was I glad to be here? They didn't even tell us why they moved us! There was something bothering me but I couldn't put my finger on it. While walking down the stairs I could hear them quareling about our "role" here. 

Britney sat eating leaving them at it. It really didn't make a difference to me so I sat down grabbing a nearby spoon to dig into the chocolate ice cream.

"Good morning girls!" A happy Beta Joe said. Joe was Regina's father. By far one of the fiercest but a good friend of my fathers. We surely were one close knit pack. "So be ready by 10. You all need to be briefed. And Regina your mother needs to speak with you." He finished while going to pour himself some coffee. Regina slowly got up "We will finish this when I get back!" and with that she stormed out. Quite the diva! Something really was off. Britney wasn't saying anything. Usually she always had something to say but she just smiled, nodded and left to go change. The guys came into the kitchen covered in dirt. As always they were probably out rumbling and tumbling. Time quickly went by and it was soon 10.

We were gathered in a room with a round table. Like the ones you see in Criminal Minds. Naturally, we were seated awaiting the briefing.

Regina's parents walked in, Beta Joseph (Joe for short) and Josephine.  They always seemed so happy. Her mum just stood next to her husband who cleared his throat and began.

"Today is a very important day. You will be introduced to the resident pack here. Remember first impressions are everything. You will all be dressed appropriately. Knee length dresses which have already been purchased for you. It is a semi formal event. I assume you know what is expected. Any questions?" He looked around.

Dylan shot up. "Beta, do we have to wear dresses to?" Before Beta Joe could answer Cristal smacked Dylan, "I love you mate. But sometimes you need to shut up." He only laughed, "I'd only let you smack me." She looked at him with her mouth open and back at us, "Yup, I got the stupid one." She said making the "p" pop.

Man, our dresses were so amazing.  I envied those with mates. They looked so happy.  By 6 we were out the door and on the way. We, girls, tried to remain in the same vehicle. It was only proper. Wasn't it?

"Just smile and wave girls just smile and wave." Courtney said while waving and forcing her best smile.
