Chapter Five

Christian Collins P.O.V

I stood among the trees just staring at her. I wanted to just hold her in my arms. She stood there managing to look both professional and stunning.😍
Damn I had one hot mate! I didn't even know what position she held. I didn't know her name. I wasn't sure how she would react to me. Being a hybrid was frowned upon. I couldn't help that. Crawford and I had been looking for a place to stay for a while. Packs would run us out of their territory. Our parents had died a while back. Executed for no reason. My sisters found their human mates and lived simply. We on the other hand just kept on moving. Crawford stood smiling next to me," Yo dude. Your mate. She's so wow!"
"What the freeeaaakkk! Man shut up! And don't look her!" I replied. She looked like the kind of girl who'd swoon. Besides I'm her mate. She's supposed to do that right?!?

I just lurked in the shadows with Crawford until he decided to go hit on some she wolves. The wind direction changed. Right now my mate! I just love calling her mines! She was sitting and eating. She looked so cute. She had a little smudge of something on the corner of her lip. What I wouldn't give to go kiss it off her. When she stopped. She looked perplex. I know she could smell me. So I might as well go introduce myself and with that I started walking towards her. She nudged her friend and whispered something but I couldn't hear it.

I swear to god I almost tripped at least ten times before I reached where they were sitting. Smooth Chris. Really very smooth. I stopped about a metre from her. "Uhhhh hey ummm I'm Chris and uhh I think you're my mate.!" I blurted out. She stared at me shocked.

"Great just great another person finds their mate and I'm just here all alone." Her friend started rattling off.

"Courtney, shut up!" She said while grabbing my arm and walking far far away. Damn she had a grip!

"I'm Marissa by the way. You're a hybrid! Right? I can't be seen with you yet. Ok! I will find you tomorrow Chris ok." She smiled slightly and turned to walk away but I caught her arm and pulled her into me. "You're ashamed of me aren't you? You don't have to be. And you don't have to be afraid of me either." I wanted to cry. My mate just told me that I was a disappointment. This isn't how it's supposed to go. Is it? "Understand this. I have to work this out!" She pushed me away and went back to eat.

"I will make you mines Marissa!" I called out to her.

I started feeling mad. REALLY! REALLY MAD!!! I just dashed into the woods!!!

Marissa's P.O.V

This very good looking guy was walking to our table. His scent though! Just wow! He almost tripped but that was really adorable. He had eyes I could stare in forever.

Lo and behold he told me I was his mate. I noticed something about him though. The air around him was different. That meant only one thing. HYBRID! Hahaha!

Me. Mates. With. A. Hybrid. I had to figure this out! So I took him away from Courtney. She thought hybrids were a myth. I would have to talk to Britney about this. I told him my name, what was gonna happen and sauntered away. Then he told me he'd make me his. Hmmm. I think I'll have some fun with this.
