07 - Lucky

Aria's POV

As soon as I finished saying that, Niel grabs my wrist and forcefully drags me with him excitedly. We go to the nearby shops and head into one that sells ice cream but I can tell Niel had no idea this place even existed.

He muttered under his breath "This seems good enough."

"Hey, if this is meant to be a practice date, you should actually plan before hand and if you don't, at least don't make it so obvious," I say pointing out his first flaw. He stares at me and then sighs over exaggeratedly.

"You know what, it's too hard! Let's just be normal for now okay Aria?" He pleads.

We scan all the flavours laid out before us and decide which ones we want. Honeycomb is my all time favourite. I thank the brilliant person who invented this great flavour. Niel chose cookies 'n' cream which is also a good flavour. So is strawberry cheesecake and chocolate trilogy. You know, I think I just like ice cream in general.

As we order and the cashier asks us to pay, I look over to Niel expecting him to pay since he was the one who dragged me here.

"Oh, no. You're paying yours and I'm paying mine," he says defensively.

"On a first date, the guy should pay first unless the girl insists to pay as well," I say back.

Probably not to cause a big fuss, he just pays for mine as well. The cashier was looking at us strangely while we quarrelled so I'm glad it ended before it turned awkward.

We take the pink seats line up against the side of the store and start eating the tasty ice cream.

"I wanted to know any tips for a first date so tell me Aria, what do I do?" He says desperately.

"Well, for starters don't go naked because that might give the wrong idea," I reply.

"Yeah I got that," he says laughing.

"Don't act too much like it's a date because it really isn't Niel," I reinforce.

"Close enough!" He states. I still think it's not but he can't hear me. Unless he's a mind reader, which would be really creepy, which means he could hear everything I'm thinking right now. Okay let's think of nothing..................it's too hard.

"Anyway, you do realise I'm the worst person to ask about stuff like this since I have zero experience?" I question.

He looks up thinking and then responds with a simple "Yep."

"Just act like you are now basically," I tell him.

"Alright." At least he seems to get it.

"Wait, what're you even doing on the weekend?" Only just realising he never told me.

"We're going to this place where there's rooms and it has cool stuff in it. One could have a mirror maze or like a bouncy ball room. It's just this new attraction," he explains.
We finally finish eating our ice cream which was actually in a really short amount of time. I take ages to eat anything except dessert. It's like how you can be too full to eat more dinner but you have a whole space saved just for dessert. Or maybe I secretly have two stomachs.

We walk out of the shop and Niel once again drags me to the park this time. The same park where-

"This is where you fell asleep; on me," Niel says raising one eyebrow.

I try to hide my face since it's a tiny bit embarrassing.

"I don't know if you heard me that night but I said I wanted to travel to the country to see the stars.
What I really want to do is to go travelling around the world with someone I like. And when I say like I mean love, but love sounds too girly for me," he says dorkily. Is that even I word? I don't think so Aria, I'm still going to use it though.
