12 - Help

Aria's POV

He'll.....protect.....me? These words take a while before I process what he means. I look up to the determined Niel, fire in his eyes and nod giving a quiet but sincere thanks. It'll be harder than he thinks this whole issue is about but I trust him.

All of a sudden, I'm not so scared of what they're going to do. I mean, how bad can a bunch of girly-girls hurt me?

While I sigh letting out all my tension from seeing the message, I realise that's why everyone was treating me so strangely recently. I didn't think anything of it, but I've been getting run into or tripped or just trolled in general. And yes, I used that word, trolled.

Then, a girl walks past and pushes me harshly into Niel. "Where was my protection Niel?" I scoff ignoring the pain.

He gives me a crooked grin while jokingly says "Starting from now."

The three of us laugh at his remark that was timed perfectly. I'm glad he's here to cheer me up even in the darkest of times. Still kidding and helping me relax.

I'll just go with whatever happens because I know, Niel won't let anything happen to me.........hopefully.

Somehow I managed to survive the rest of the week without anymore incidents other than a couple of girls tripping me and calling me names but I just block it out and imagine Ace saying it instead. Honestly it makes it so much easier since it doesn't affect me when he says it. What's the difference if pretty girls say it?

Niel's been watching me like a hawk at lunch, during class and especially when we walk to switch classes. Nicole then keeps an eye out for other classes but the worst has to be when I'm alone.

It's pretty rough with all the girls death staring at me but all I can think about is how they're going to get wrinkles from all that scowling. I pretend that the class was fine though and tell my protectors that it's alright since they're already doing so much for me.

Right now, I'm walking with Niel again to my house.

"Uhh, I didn't ask because I don't want to sound stupid but why is the bullying so bad if this school has normal people?" Niel wonders.

Well, telling him properly would take ages and I mean like I need at least 2 hours to tell him everything but I'll try in 2 sentences.

"I'm not really sure about the girl who left but basically it's because of 2 people. The ringleader and her loyal follower. I think her name is Lemony or something and her follower I can't exactly remember. They're pretty popular but the one good thing they can do is lie. Convince people and lie about......stuff they don't like," I puff.

"So you're saying because they don't like you being friends with me," he flicks his hair to the side fabulously "everyone else shouldn't like you either?" He confirms.

I stop and think for a second and nod admittedly.

"I guess instead of people trying to hate me, it's more like after this stage, they'll try and separate us as much as possible," I sigh.

We keep walking and I snatch a quick sideways glance at Niel. From his face, I can see he doesn't know how to respond.

"But we'll beat them right? Hehe," I let out a worried laugh. Niel reassuringly pats my back sending me a message. Don't ask me what the message is, but it is some sort of message.

We continue walking in a normal fashion but I soon realise we're being watched. Two girls from our school, of course, whispering something about us from the looks of her points and glares.
