Barry, Iris and I normally go out for drinks on the weekend but this time Iris invited Eddie. Barry and I didn't want to feel like third and fourth wheels so we invited Caitlyn and Cisco. Iris, Eddie and Caitlyn were playing darts while Cisco and I were at a different table trying to figure out my hero name, as well as Barry's. Caitlyn came over to us and I looked over at Barry who was staring at Iris, Of course.
I looked at Cisco, "So I was thinking, The Silver Siren". Cisco smiled, "I wish you let me come up with it, but I like it". We laughed until Barry walked over to us, "Guys. I have a problem", he then proceeded to down like 10 shots all at once. I looked at him, "Yeah a drinking problem", I joked. He looked at me, "I can't feel anything", he whispered. Cisco laughed a little, "Yeah that's usually what happens when you drink too much".
Barry shook his head, "No the alcohol isn't affecting me. I literally feel nothing". Caitlyn got excited, "It's your hypermetabolism. I need a sample", she said searching through her purse while Cisco went to get more shots, "I swear I had a vacutainer here", she whispered. Barry and I look at her weird, "You carry a blood collection kit in your purse?" he asked. She shrugged, "You have your hobbies". I laughed, "And I thought I carried weird stuff in my purse".
Cisco came back with shots for all of us, my favorite experiment ever. We all threw them back as we all looked at Barry who looked normal. "Still nothing?", Cisco asked. Barry shook his head disappointed, "I can't get drunk. I mean, I'm only 25, and my drinking days are already over". I looked at him , "Damn I'm glad I got the scream instead", I joked but he didn't find it very funny.
Eddie came over trying to get Barry to play darts when his phone went off, "There was a bombing on 8th and Pass", he said looking at his phone then at Iris, "I got to go babe". They kissed goodbye and Eddie left. Iris looked at us and grabbed her purse, "I have an early shift at Jitters", she said and left while the rest of us acted like we were tired too. After she left Barry and I left to change the we made it to the bombing site.
When we got there we saw the building on fire and a man hanging from the side of it. "Guys there's a window washer and he's gonna fall", he said into his ear piece. "Don't try to catch him, you don't have super strength", I heard Cisco on the other end.
They were talking about options about how to save him while I went over and started to clear civilians from the scene. When I looked back at Barry, he was running on the side of the building and managed to catch the man before he fell. Right as Barry saved the man, the unit he was standing on fell and was heading towards a woman and her daughter trying to run away. I ran toward them and stood under the thing making my sound waves catch it and throw it away from people.
I looked at the mother and daughter and smiled at them while the little girl looked at me amazed, "Wow a real girl hero". I kneeled down to her, "It's not just for boys anymore honey", I whispered and then ran back to Barry. He smiled at me, "You're amazing at this". I shrugged and flipped my hair, "I know", I joked and we were about to head back to STAR labs when we turned and saw Iris staring at us. I was hidden in the shadows and Barry vibrated his face enough to hide his face. He grabbed me and ran me back to the house quickly, "Do you think she saw us?", I asked. He shook his head, "I don't think so".
