6 months since Eobard Thawne disappeared out of our lives
It's been hard on everyone. Iris is still mourning Eddie, Cisco has started working for the CCPD as a tech consultant, Caitlyn took a job at Mercury labs, and Barry has been doing the Flash stuff solo. He says he doesn't want anyone to get hurt because of him but it's hurting me that, he's been so distant with me.
As for me, besides not being The Silver Siren for a while, I've had nothing exciting going on in my life. I normally go to the police station and help my dad out with cases but that's just about it. Dad was talking to Captain Singh right now while I was looking into a case file. "Flash Day is almost here. A downtown rally to honor the man who saved Central City. It's been six months since the Flash saved Central City from the freak black hole that erupted in the sky", I listened to the news report smiling. I saw on the TV that there were also people there for Silver Siren so I decided I'd make an appearance for my fans.
The Siren became a beacon of hope for young girls, showing them that they can be anything and do anything. "Speaking of which, where is your scientific advisor?", Singh asked Dad. Just then Cisco came over with a cart of tech junk, "Fear the beard", he joked talking about the Captain's beard. Singh didn't seem amused but Dad and I had to keep laughter in. Cisco tried to recover, "It's a very distinguished look, sir", he said.
Singh looked at the junk that Cisco had, "What is all this, Mr. Ramon?", he asked. Cisco smiled, "Oh this right here? This is a little something I'm working on. I'm cooking it up for Joe and the task force to take down meta-humans. I think I'm gonna call it The Boot", he said and handed Captain Singh the receipts for the junk. Singh shot a look at Dad before walking off to his office.
Cisco turned around, "oh, um, Captain, one more thing", he started. Captain Singh knew what he was going to ask, "You are not getting a badge Mr. Ramon", he said before closing his office door. Dad and I laughed because it was the same thing for almost six months. Dad looked at Cisco's invention, "So you really think you can get this to work?", he asked. Cisco nodded, "Yes, once I finish the Boot, CCPD will have what it needs to take down a meta-human. Especially now that Barry's decided to go all Lone Wolf McQuade and fight crime by himself", he said.
Dad sighed, "Have you spoken to him?", he asked. Cisco shakes his head, "Not really. I haven't even heard from Caitlyn since she started working at Mercury labs", he said. I walked over to them, "Team Flash has really gone down hill", I said looking at them, "Someone really needs to talk some sense into him". Dad looked at me, "Maybe his best friend", he said. Cisco held his hands up, "Look Joe, I've tried", he said. Dad and I gave him a look, "I meant her", he said and walked away.
Cisco pouted and I patted his shoulder before walking off laughing. Time to try to talk some sense into the Scarlet Speedster.
