Dark and Light

I walked in to STAR labs the next day, after taking some time to think about everything with Francine. I walked in and was the team crowded around someone, making me look at them confused. I walked in, "Um guys? What's up?", I asked. Barry stepped aside and I saw a face that I hoped to never see again. I narrowed my eyes and went to scream but Barry ran over to me and covered my mouth with his hand. He looked at me, "Please don't scream. He's not Thawne. He's Harrison Wells from Earth-2", he told me. I pulled his hand from my mouth and the man with my birth father's face, "What are you doing here?", I asked. He sighed frustrated, "I'm here to help you all defeat Zoom", he said. 

Although this man looked like the one who betrayed us, I couldn't help but feel that he was telling the truth. Dad and Barry went off to talk about this situation and Caitlyn went to talk to Jay, to confirm the story. I walked closer to this Harrison Wells, "I just have one question, Dr. Wells", I started, "Do you have a daughter on your Earth?", I asked. Cisco looked at me, "Delaney, I don't think--", he started to protest. I held my hand up to stop him, "Well do you?", I asked again. He nodded, "Yes, I have two", he said. 

I looked at him, "And does one of them look like me?", I asked, more nervous for the answer this time. The look in his eyes softened, "Yes. My oldest, Delaney", he said. I felt a pit in my stomach that was eating at me. Why did this Wells keep his daughter and mine gave me up? I felt tears well up, "I need some air", I said walking outside.

After calming down, I went back to STAR labs. I couldn't hide from this new Wells forever. They had a newspaper article up on the screen and Wells was explaining this new Earth-2 meta, "Her name is Dr. Light. Small time thief on my earth until exposure to the dark matter from the particle accelerator and became a meta-human with the ability with the ability to derive power from starlight", he explained. Cisco smiled, "Woah, very cool", he said. Wells looked at him, "Stars having a temperature of 5,300 degree Kelvin and a blinding luminosity, I would say, not cool", he retorted. 

I rolled my eyes, "Our Wells may have been evil, but you're just a dick", I said as I walked over to the three men. Barry and Cisco looked at me worried but I shook my head, letting them know that I was fine. Barry sighed, "Okay, so obviously Zoom brought her here from your Earth like the others", he said as Wells took a bite of a Big Belly Burger. He nodded, "And now that we know that, we can use that to gain advantage", he said. 

I looked at him, "What do you mean?", I asked. He looked at me, "We capture Dr. Light and use her to lure Zoom here", he said. Just then Jay and Caitlyn walked in, "You are insane! We are not luring Zoom anywhere!", Jay yelled. We looked at Caitlyn confused and she looked back, "Apparently they know each other, and Jay is not a fan", she said. Wells looks at him, "Well, well, well. Like everyone else, I assumed Earth-2 Flash was dead. Why am I not surprised to find Jay Garrick here, still alive and in hiding a full universe away from Zoom?", he questioned. 

Jay walked closer, "I'm not in hiding. Zoom nearly killed me and stole my speed before the Singularity pulled me here", he said through gritted teeth. Wells looked at him, "Is that right?", he asked not believing him. Jay nodded, "Yeah, that's right", he said. I knew this was going to end up in a fight so I stepped in, "Guys stop. We don't need this", I said narrowing my eyes at the two men. Wells looked at me then back at Jay, "Whatever the case, in your absence, Zoom has only gotten more powerful, faster", he looked at Barry, "Barry, you have to defeat Zoom now while you still can", he said.
