Barry and I took the night off from superheroing and decided to go bowling. We were walking to a lane holding hands and I smirked at him, "So Scarlet Speedster, it seems that all that speed has gone to your head because I seem to recall that I always kicked your ass at bowling", I teased. He laughed, "Yeah well we'll see about that", he joked. I saw Eddie and Iris at a different lane and they noticed us, "Oh hey guys", Iris smiled.
I looked at them, "Oh hey. I didn't know you would be here", I said a little surprised. She shrugged, "We just thought it would be fun. I mean, we have been coming here since we were kids. Why don't you guys join us?", she suggested. Barry and I looked at each other and Eddie noticed our apprehension, "We don't want to interrupt your date", he said. I shook my head, "No, it's fine. We'd love to", I said although I wasn't so sure. Barry looked at me, "Are you sure?", he asked me. I nodded and smiled, "Yeah, it'll be fun".
It was not fun. Barry and Iris spent the whole time teasing and trying to out-do each other. Eddie and I shared a look as we saw the look as we watched how they interacted. I saw the look on Iris's face, the same look I must have when I look at Barry.
We were returning our shoes when Eddie gets an alert on his phone, "I got to go. Emergency at the morgue", he says. Iris goes to kiss him goodbye but he just walks past her. Barry looked at Iris and I , "I should go too. They'll need someone from the crime lab", he says kissing my cheek and walking away. I look at her, "I should go too", I said and started to walk away from Iris. She followed me, "Where are you going?", she asked. I sighed, "Iris, I just want to go home", I said frustrated and walked away. I felt bad for being rude but I could tell that she was in love with Barry which didn't sit well with me.
