Delaney POV
We got back to the lab after Dr. Wells said it was all clear. Caitlyn ran some more tests on Bette before she called us all into the room to share the results . When Barry and I walked in, Bette looked like she was about to break down. I looked at Caitlyn, "So what is it?", she looked at me sadly. "The shrapnel in your body has merged with you on a cellular level", Caitlyn gently told Bette.
"The technology required to unsplice your DNA--It hasn't been invented yet", Dr. Wells told her. We all looked at the woman sympathetically, "Bette", I whispered and walked closer to her. She shook her head and walked away from me with tears falling down her face. We all looked at each other not knowing what to say. Cisco looked at us, "So what now?". I shrug, "She joins us and becomes part of the team", Barry nodded agreeing with me.
Caitlyn walked closer to us, "You both have amazing abilities to help people. She makes things explode". I started getting mad, "I make peoples ear drums explode. Are you going to send me away too?", they didn't know what to say to me. I scoffed and walked away to be alone.

Barry's POV
After Delaney left, the team gave me a lecture about how we can't keep Bette around. All I could think about was how upset Delaney was. I left to go to my lab to think when I found Joe sitting on my desk. I looked at him surprised, "Joe? What are you doing here?", I asked walking closer to him. He closed a file he was reading, "Going over the materials in your mom's case". Over the past few weeks, Joe has been helping me investigate my mom's murder. Now that we know for a fact that the impossible is possible we wanted to see if there was anything we missed.
He looked at me, "How's it going with you?", he asked. I sighed, "Stellar. I made friends with a human bomb who I promised I could help and then couldn't, which Delaney is very upset about by the way. I never thought being a hero would be this hard". He looked at me smiling a little, "How are you two?". I shrugged, "What do you mean? We're great", I said kinda unsure. Joe could sense my apprehension and I sighed, "When you were in the hospital, Delaney and I kinda had a...moment. Nothing happened but I just felt something change".
He laughed a little, "I knew this would happen sometime", I looked at him confused, "You're in love Barry". I felt heat rose in my cheeks, "What? No. We're best friends", he gave me a look, "Okay maybe a little. But I don't want to ruin anything. I'm sure she doesn't feel the same". He rolled his eyes, "You both are so blind. Barry, she's loved you ever since I can remember. I've just been waiting for something to happen", he says.
I look at him shocked, "Really?", I ran a hand through my hair, "How could I not see?", I whispered, trying to figure out how I never figured it out. He smiled, "Because you weren't looking before. But now it seems the universe is trying to push you two together. The universe always finds a way", he said standing up and patting me on the shoulder and walking out, leaving me with thoughts of The Silver Siren.
