FIFTEEN

The next morning, Jake and I headed to school together.

"I, uhm" I uncomfortably started. Jake was too focused on the road, so I figured to not say anything since he probably didn't even hear me.

"You?" Jake asks me, staring at the road.

"Never mind" I faked a smile.

"You sure?" Jake asks.

"I might have told Luke that I'm dating you, I don't remember. I thought it'd make sense since he's scared of you and sees us together a lot, and I thought that maybe he, uhm-" I cut myself off by sighing. I look over at Jake to see him laughing.

"What the fuck are you laughing at?!" I aggressively ask him.

"It's okay, I don't mind him thinking we're together" Jake smiles at me. I feel bad for yelling at him. I should stop doing that, this is exactly why I'm still single.

Jake looked at me before parking his car in front of school.

"Am I allowed to park it in your spot?" He asks me, as he was almost parked.

"Isn't it your spot? You've been fighting me for ages" I giggle.

"Nah, I gifted it to you" Jake winks at me.

Is he flirting with me or? Does he want me or does he want me not? I don't fucking get it Jake, get your shit together.

"Why are you telling me now? I've been avoiding parking here" I chuckle.

"So I guess I'm allowed to?" Jake asks with a smile.

"Sure" I smile back. He parked his car and we got out.

After three hours it was finally time for lunch break. I sat next to Daniel and Jake. The guys had been talking about cars and motorcycles, and all I could think about was Luke. I kept looking around to see if I could spot him.

"You don't have to worry this much" Jake whispers in my ear. I ignored him and continued eating in silence, while looking around.

"You need to relax, want me to help you with it?" Jake again whispered in my ear. I widened my eyes, not knowing if I heard him correctly.

I'm pretty sure I did hear it correctly since Jake had been laughing for ten seconds already.

"Calm down, I got this" Jake smiled while grabbing my leg. This moment made me melt. He is so gentle with me, it's exactly as those days with Jace. They both look the same, got the same hair and eye color and even similar tattoos. They're both tall, and gentle with me. And Jace was alive when Luke had been stalking me, now the same problem kept repeating itself.

I decided to relax anyway, since Jake was here to keep me calm, and his presence was actually comforting enough. I actually shouldn't be scared, I've got 9 boys behind my back who probably are willing to fight I guess. At least, if I should believe Jake. And I really hope Luke won't be here today, because Jake seemed pretty mad and I'm not sure what will happen when he sees him.

"What do you think Jay?" Daniel asks me. The guys all turned to face me.

"I'm sorry, I was daydreaming" I smile.

"We should go ask the principal if he's fine with us doing a mini festival on schools campus" Isaac filled me in.

"It's not a good idea obviously. We've all been in trouble at least twice, this fucker here already got in trouble like, ten times? And his final warning, he's definitely not going to approve" Mike says, pointing at Jake.
